We raise large German Shepherds. Because we have so many dogs and we want them to eat healthily, we are extremely picky about what they eat. We currently feed this to our dogs more than any other dry food. It's important to us that real chicken is the first ingredient. I wanted to give it 4.5 stars, as no one food is perfect. Great product that my purebred German Shepherd has been on since she was rescued. My local store didn't have any for some reason and German Shepherds are sensitive to diet changes so I had to order 3 bags online. Please don't stop carrying this item like you do with so many other products.

My dog is allergic to grain, even the expensive brands upset his stomach, so we've switched him to grain free. We usually but Natures Recipe with pumpkin, but I decided to give this a try since it's half the price. He hates it. Straight up starves himself. Even if I put canned pumpkin on top he'll only eat the bits that the pumpkin touches. I even mixed some with the Natures Recipe and he picks through it. I'm giving the rest of the bag away.

I bought this because my husky was not earing her food very well. When she wuld eat, she would have bad gas throughout the day. I changed to this, she is still picky and eats slowly but she finishes her bowls throughout the day and does not have gas.

Was looking for a grain free, high protein food that my puppies liked more than Blue. They love this food and my eight year old Aussie and my twelve year old Golden Retriever are spunky like five years ago. Great food at a lower price, my food issue is over!

This is a great product. We have several rescue dogs that came to us in all manner of health status. They all love this food and adjusted to it quickly. We add just a little water to it and it creates a nice gravy for the meal. The pups are more healthy and more regular with this food. One thing to look out for is the bag sometimes rips at the top.

My dogs are so picky... I've tried all brands other than the most expensive and they always turned their noses up...and refuse to eat it... When I served this to them... they ate it right up...and now about half bag is gone and they are doing well and still accepting this food.... I don't know why.... since I've tried regular and grain-free for couple years now... but am so happy... also very happy that it is affordable for me. And having it sent to my front door is so handy since my age/health makes it impossible for me to handle big bags... but I still buy them due to price being better than the lighter bags. Again, it is such a relief to have something that is grain-free and accepted by my sweet live-ins.... teehee

Our vet recommended we get a dog food with the main ingredients as meat and secondary vegetables, and to try to stay away from grains due to some digestion issues. Our beagle is going great on this food so far. The pieces are very small, she can chew and digest this food easily.

Bought this as an additive and future replacement for Blue Buffalo, as it is (simply put) expensive. I can buy two bags of this for the price of one bag of BB. My girls love it, even looking at me for more after every meal!. Slowly mixed it in, to avoid any stomach issues, and there have been absolutely no problems over a month. Granted, it doesn't have every single ingredient as BB (Like the LifeSource bits apparently), BUT the majority are there. Love this food (and cost) and will Definitely buy again! If your doggies love BB, Give it a try.

We have 3 German Shepherds and they love this food. The zip reclosable opening is so handy! We travel out of town a couple times a month and it is so convenient to grab the bag and go. It never spills and the dogs don't try to get in it! Our 3 Sheperds love the food and they do not get dry skin or hot spots!
