It dissolves well in the wash and leaves my clothes feeling clean without noticeable residue. The effectiveness is great for everyday laundry, and it does a good job controlling odors, leaving clothes smelling fresh and clean after washing. Even if it is one of the smaller bottles, you get quite a few loads of laundry out of them as long as you follow the directions on the cap. Speaking of instructions, it is very easy to clearly see how much soap is needed per load on that cap. If you're looking for a good laundry soap that's going to get your clothes clean and smells good, then you need to go ahead and pick up some Gain.

The consistency however was pretty thin from what I can see in comparison to other laundry detergents. Now with the instructions I did use one and a half cap full of detergent and I put it on top of my clothes however when I use this again I will go with the recommended suggestion to put the detergent at the bottom of the washer and then the clothes because in my apartment complex has new washers and that's what it suggests. The weight on the bottle is pretty light for me which means it could be more product in comparison to water which is something I really need to consider. Most laundry detergents that I do pick up are heavier because of the water content that it offers and this doesn't have that from how it feels when packing it to the washroom. Now with the value of this particular detergent, I'm not sure because I don't use this particular brand before however it may be something that I can purchase in the future if it's at a reasonable cost.

I love how it smells so fresh when you open the bottle. We are definitely a gain family. All the other scents they have are just as amazing as the original.

It does a great job washing off the dirt and dog hair, and getting rid of the lingering dog smells. I also love that the classic Gain Original Scent stays on the blankets after they are washed. With two dogs, and how often we wash dog blankets and towels, having a detergent that washes well leaving them selling clean is a must in my house! Gain does the job!
