To start off, I really like this product. I installed about 500 square feet of a different color (Woodland Hickory – now it’s called smoked hickory) 2 years ago. I have two crazy large dogs, and they have yet to damage my first installed floor. This new one (barn wood) has me worried a bit. I had to uninstall a couple of rows twice to replace boards that had chipping on the edges. I am hoping that now that they are installed, it will be stronger and last. Right now, I don’t even want to walk on them in fear of them chipping. With the two bad boards (out of 55 boards), I ended up having to buy an entire new box for a 5.5" last cut :( Keeping my fingers crossed for quality and longevity.

I love Sam's Club and trusted their products. When we began remodeling, my wife picked the Barnwood flooring. When it was installed, it was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Soon we noticed "bubbling" in laminate of the flooring where water had spilled. Now, the problem is I haven't tried to get a refund because I don't have the money to reinstall the flooring. The flooring has been down for about a year and I hate to think what will happen best year.

I'm only giving these 2 stars because they are pretty and they were inexpensive compared to other floor of equal thickness. After installing these in our home and using them for ONE day they already have 4 chips! We have been extremely careful when placing furniture and even take our shoes off to walk on it. I have NO IDEA how they chipped. If I would have known these were going to be so fragile I would have spent the extra 1,000 on a name brand. I read all the reviews on the flooring and was convinced it was a good option. I was so wrong. I am extremely disappointed with my purchase and would not recommend this floor to anyone. The outer most layer of these floors is extremely vulnerable to damage. Do not purchase if you want a floor that will last. Do not purchase if you have large dogs or kids. To be honest, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. You can get better flooring at an equal price at a discount dealer. This was the largest purchase in our total home renovation and I'm totally sick knowing it was junk. Save yourself the heartache. As far as installation these were really easy to install. During installation we had about one box total that was chipped and unusable.

We installed the Select Surfaces laminate barnwood color in 2018 or 2019. It's beautiful and has held up well with dog nails sliding across it and other everyday activity. I wanted you to also see how it's held up to a natural disaster. Our house was hit by a tornado in March 2024 and it ripped part of the roof off two bedrooms. The pictures show what the floor looks like in one of the rooms after the debris, damage and water was cleaned up after 5 weeks. While obviously the floor will have to be replaced because it was wet for several days, or weeks, what you don't see is buckling or the quality of the flooring compromised. (The white residue is from the wet insulation that was on it.) If it will hold up that well under those harsh conditions, I have no doubt that it can hold up to just about anything under normal conditions for many years to come. The flooring will be replaced with the same.

I really like the color of the flooring, but my husband had a hard time getting it to fit into each other. In my opinion the boards have a gap between them. He said they just didn't connect together as easily as he thought they would/should. Maybe if someone was more experienced doing this it would be different.

After reading some reviews I am just going to answer some questions. These floors do not "interlock" like the wood flooring you are used to. These are in fact better! Especially for a beginner. My husband and I have put in a lot of different types of laminate flooring. Why do we like this one the best? Since you do not have to lock in 2 sides as typical you are able to get easily closer to the drywall. You lock in on the long side as usual - but on the short side it has a groove and you basically line up the ends and then slam it down with the mallet and it's in. No need to use the flooring tool to slam it into place on the short side. Also, I can say after using this exact flooring for 2 years in our living room, dining room, and hallway I can say with absolute certainty that it HOLDS UP! These are our high traffic areas and it held up so well we decided to bring this flooring into our kitchen. Last thing, the moldings come in a 4 pack - 2 t-pieces, 1 end cap and 1 reducer for $15 at sam's club. If you are shopping in the store there is a little space just above the flooring, it's a short shelf and it has all of the matching molding pieces above their corresponding laminate floor.

Wow! We bought this because we knew that the colors would complement our existing cabinets in the kitchen. Didn't realize just how much it would look like real wood flooring once it was installed. We now have done the livingroom and laundry room too.

I have installed this in 4 bedrooms and 1000sqf living and kitchen area. The negative review are all most likely from installing wrong. Biggest thing to remember is to make sure the runs are fully clicked tight to the run before. I can't over stress this. Any gaps, even small, compound later on. I used a scrap piece on tap side and a regular hammer. YouTube has lots of videos explaining the how.

Purchased to replace carpet in three kids bedrooms. It turned out absolutely beautiful and seems very sturdy. The installation was easy. Just be prepared with a saw for cuts and we watched a great you-tube video before we started on this product which provided good tips. We are so happy so we are purhasing more flooring to do the master bedroom. Other than the bedrooms, the remainder of the house is tile and the transition was perfect with the molding kit. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this product and it is better than many other floorings of this type and at much better price.

We have now had these floors for 3 years. They are beautiful however they are not water resistant for 24 hours. My dog had an accident overnight so urine sat on the floor for maybe 6 hours and there are now bubbles in that area. Highly disappointed. We bought this flooring for the reason of it being 'waterproof', so I am only giving 3 stars for that reason. Otherwise the flooring is beautiful and thick. If you want true waterproof then I'd suggest buying something else.
