I tend to use them because I find I start going before I get my panties down. But i did once have to let myself go in them when I couldn't make it to the ladies room in time, and they totally worked, even with a lot of liquid.

I have used always discrete underwear for my last two postpartum. They feel like regular underwear and are so absorbent as promised!they are also seem less so you don't have to be self conscious when out.
