Purina Friskies Pate

For the most part I'm satisfied what I'm not happy about is you can't have it shipped and lately delivery items have been damaged, like I read in another review my Item Pate came crushed half the cans were broken open and gone bad, disgusting. I switch from the meaty one because the meat pieces were to big an really tough. So far Sams club has made good when ever I make a complaint.

Not great. Actually, disgusting.

Bought two 60-can boxes of the pate. Discovered that each box had leaking cans on the bottom of box. By the time I discovered this, I ended up with $80 worth of cat filled in maggot-filled boxes. Major cleaning in my house now. Thanks Addendum: Bought two more identical boxes hoping to not have same problem. Pictures show box with damaged cans which attracted more maggots. Was able to save half the cans the second time but it’s ridiculous to have to open product outside because I don’t know what to expect. I will never by ANY FOOD, HUMAN OR PET, from Sam’s again. Sam’s should get new Friskies distributors. This has been disgusting.

Not The Same as Same Product Sold in Other Stores

I thought I was buying the same thing I buy in boxes of 32 at other stores, but the cats won't touch this, so either it's a different product for cost cutting reasons or it's been left in extreme heat or something somewhere along the way before I bought it. (I've noticed other differences in other products bought at Sam's Club compared to elsewhere too, such as the garbage bags I buy are usually white, but Sam's Club, same brand, are gray.) Anyway, this was no savings and I had to throw it all away. They simply smell it and walk away.

Beware: Bone fragments

We are currently transitioning our cats away from this brand. While very cost-effective, you get what you pay for. Quality control has deminished greatly. We used to never see bone fragments in the food, but have recently noticed bone fragments in every can. The pieces range from small to medium, some sharp, especially in cans containing primarily fish. It's gotten to the point that we mush and sift through the food on their plates before serving so we can pick the bones out. Otherwise, our cats will vomit not long afterward. We hate to switch brands, but if paying a little more per can to prevent having to clean up after sick cats will help, then so be it.

Good but....

None of my inside cats or 3 feral cats will eat the new "farm" food with added veggies. They won't touch it & it ends up in the garbage.

Cats love it!

I've been buying this food for many years for a multi-cat household. They prefer the Pate over any form of sliced or chunk canned food.

The farm variety is a waste for me

I buy this regularly for my small outside cat colony. They leave the “farm” variety in the dish. I’m not sure what the rationale for make a mostly vegetable cat food for carnivores might be.

Potential Contamination in Food

I microwaved a portion of the turkey and giblets (purple can) for a short time and something inside of it sparked. There was a horrible burning stench and something blackened in the food. I will be returning this product.

Good product, but getting too expensive.

My cats prefer this brand and I truly enjoy the 60-count option, but the price is getting insane. If it keeps trending upwards, I won't be able to afford it anymore.

comes in boxes of 60, good for cat rescues!!

The food is great all my cats love it but we are being gouged on the price since 2020. Before covid, each box was 29.99, very affordable and I run a sanctuary. Barely getting by with 42.98. How about dropping it at least 1/2 way to 34.99?
