These were our go to treat when they were only made with chicken and would have given them 5 stars. The recipe was changed to add vegetable glycerin. Ended up at the vet with our dog because these now gave him severe diarrhea to the point he ended up with colitis. Was either caused by the change to add vegetable glycerin or the bag was contaminated. I returned them and told staff about the issue. They refunded my money but not sure anyone is checking if these treats are contaminated. I asked for a manager who seemed more concerned but still do not know if they checked these treats.

These treats made dogs vomit and have diarrhea. I tried multiple times off and on over several months giving my dogs these treats. Every single time, it caused digestive upset, and at least once, it was severe enough we had to seek veterinarian attention. My vet believes these treats caused salmonella poisoning. Purchased in January 2022.

When buying this bag of treats I was thrilled because you get more and it’s less expensive than the other competitor. I bought them and the quality looked great but my girls did not like them. I tried several days for them to change their mind but they never liked them. So I had to return them and buy the competitor brand. Disappointed.

Do not feed this lot batch to your dogs, it has a bubble like soft feel, smells off. My dogs won't eat, work yard dogs won't eat and a starving dog would not eat it. My dogs love these but I knew something was not right when I opened the bag. It may make your dog very sick. I did contact Sam's but says nobody has reported it. Please contact Sams. I cautiously bought these because it’s a three pound bag—and what if my dog hates them. But I took a chance and I think we’ll forever buy these as long as they’re around. As another review below say, ‘they’re hard and stinky—one star’. I don’t care what they smell like. I don’t have to eat them. They’re hard. Because it’s jerky. They pull apart just the same as jerky. They’re for dogs, not humans. Don’t let the negative reviews deter you. They’re worth it.
