I bought this last month for my kids (6 years old and 2.5 years old) and they LOVE IT! While some of the features are a little more advanced - but definitely feasible - for the two-year-old, we chose the structure because they could grow into it and our six-year-old loves to climb. Staining it took a little bit of time before building it, but it wasn’t hard at all. Putting it together is time-consuming, but incredibly simple when you follow the instructions (my husband and I leveled the ground by hand and put it together in a day with multiple breaks and interruptions from the kids. The only feature I’m disappointed by is that the circular hammock swing that hangs under the main structure has very sharp nylon tied knots that hold it together around the entire frame and has cut me and my kids a number of times already while swinging or pushing each other (hence, reason for 4 stars). I’m going to look for either a cover for the outside or a different swing to install there. Otherwise, we have absolutely no complaints. It is a great structure to have for the kids, and we have already spent countless hours on it as a family! I was pushing my kids on the swings the other day and my husband, who was working from home that day, brought his computer out and worked the last hour in the “club house” area so we could all hang together. The weight limits are high enough that we can all be on there and have no concerns about structural integrity, and there are enough fun aspects that my kids are always finding new ways to entertain themselves (and each other). Definitely recommend it!

I was a bit on edge ordering a play set online without seeing it in person, but the reviews online made me feel better about buying. I can tell you it was a purchase well made! It arrived earlier than expected and in 3 large boxes and the slide wrapped in plastic. It was a lot of work putting together however the instructions were VERY well done and easy to follow. Everything was well labeled and they even used the Bilt app so you could see 3d renderings of everystep. It was honestly one of the most well labeled and easy to use instructions I have ever seen in any product. The quality is excellent, all cedar wood and all the holes were predrilled. I used a Graco airless sprayer and used Seal Once clear sealer to seal the wood. My only one complaint is that the beam to hold the swings is not long enough. The swings are a bit too close together, but honestly other than that it's fantastic.

Just assembled this for our 9 and 4 year old this past weekend. This set is great quality and went together pretty easy. I like that it's bigger for my 9 year old and she can stand up in the fort with plenty of room, but still accessible for my 4 year old to climb and play on. Would highly recommend this set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 kids. We got this when my girls were 3 and 11 months in May. Over the summer my 11 month old learned and is able to independently climb the ladder. Both my girls love to climb which is why we selected this swing set. It’s a neighborhood hit. The swings are perfect for our family. I did buy an extra baby swing to attach for the little one. We have NO shade in our new build neighborhood so the direct sun did take a beating on this and it will need to be stained next spring which is why I deducted one star because that’s another thing to have to maintenance but otherwise we LOVE this swingset. As far as assembly. My husband and FIL took about 16-18 hours over two days to put it together but they were very organized with laying out all the parts in the garage on folding tables. The instructions were very clear but there are a lot of parts. Other friends who have a similar swingset spent almost double the time due to lack of organization so take the hour to get organized and set up first.

i’m so excited to receive my backyard discovery playset! My kids are going to love it and although I haven’t yet, I wanted to review how easy the process was to obtain a straight price . A different playset vendor required me to submit all my info for a “quote”. Backyard Discovery posted the price without the hassle of having to listen to a salesman pitch. Saved me time and money!

Very easy instructions. Actually enjoyed building this swing set. Backyard discovery did an awesome job on this very strong and durable swing set. I’ve had other brands swing sets that only lasted a year or two with thin boards throughout and would sway when kids were using it. I can tell this build could last decades.

Very happy with the final product! Only suggestion is be very careful when following instructions that our board orientations are correct. For the company, please identify correct orientation more clearly. Especially on the main 4x4s. I actually reversed 2 of them so the screw holes were on the wrong side. I didn't realize those holes were there.

We put this together for Christmas and our 4 kids ages 9-18 months all love playing on it. It has a good amount of features and isn’t too small for the bigger kids to have fun. It also doesn’t have a huge footprint. It’s made our backyard a neighborhood hang out spot. We didn’t find set up to be horrible but we also put it together over about a week or so.

I have a 3 year old and a seven year old so it's been 1 year of searching for a playset that accommodates BOTH of them - not easy. With the web swing, my 3 year old can "swing" without my having to worry about him flipping over. This is an ideal playset for parents trying to address the varying needs of different age groups.
