We bought this when our son was 2.5 years old. He was able to swing and climb the ladder to go down the slide. He loved it and will continually grow into it. The different swings are a hit as well. There are a lot of pieces to construct but the instruction manual was incredibly helpful. The digital manual was confusing and clunky, so I just went with the hard copy.

Three adults set this up in 8 hours with no problems. The only improvement we would make is a little better support for the "floor". It's great for targeted age range, but we were a little nervous working on the build above it. Overall-good value for the money. Our grandchildren love their "playground"!

i’m so excited to receive my backyard discovery playset! My kids are going to love it and although I haven’t yet, I wanted to review how easy the process was to obtain a straight price . A different playset vendor required me to submit all my info for a “quote”. Backyard Discovery posted the price without the hassle of having to listen to a salesman pitch. Saved me time and money!

Easy to build but organize all the parts first, goes a lot better, align to see the labels on the end. Be aware of all the holes even the very small holes orientation when building each section. Later if the parts are flipped it cannot be easily taken back apart if at all, you will have to drill holes to fix it. It's a very solid and strong building when completed. You have to stand up in it to put the roof and top on so you will need someone light weight enough to do that. Me and wife did it and we weigh around 325lbs together for short amount time to get it done, but I don't recommend it. Limit is 150lbs per person. The roof screws are a little challenging, from inside to out, not much room unless you angle upward to install them, but the holes are predrilled. It is a tight space. For just one or two persons install it can take couple days to complete it. The hardware is good quality, and all the packs are marked in the order you will use them. You end up with some extra parts. Some of the fasteners where not usable but they were extra parts in the end.

We purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 3 year old son. Being a notorious DIY guy, my wife was concerned that I would never be able to get it together let alone in a timely manner. The instructions make it easy as does the hardware. I and my dad were able to get it together in a single December day. My son absolutely loves it and has gotten hours of enjoyment and exercise from it. This is by far one of the best outdoor sets on the market.

when unpackingnmy first thoughts were that the individual pieces were very light and would not be as sturdy as expected. But allong the way when buildong de set you see how the pieces tie into each other and become sturdy als a whole set. all in all its a wonderfull play set takes some time to build on your own but can be faster if you have a few buddies helping you out . My only concerns are how to protect the wood from water damage.

I bought this last month for my kids (6 years old and 2.5 years old) and they LOVE IT! While some of the features are a little more advanced - but definitely feasible - for the two-year-old, we chose the structure because they could grow into it and our six-year-old loves to climb. Staining it took a little bit of time before building it, but it wasn’t hard at all. Putting it together is time-consuming, but incredibly simple when you follow the instructions (my husband and I leveled the ground by hand and put it together in a day with multiple breaks and interruptions from the kids. The only feature I’m disappointed by is that the circular hammock swing that hangs under the main structure has very sharp nylon tied knots that hold it together around the entire frame and has cut me and my kids a number of times already while swinging or pushing each other (hence, reason for 4 stars). I’m going to look for either a cover for the outside or a different swing to install there. Otherwise, we have absolutely no complaints. It is a great structure to have for the kids, and we have already spent countless hours on it as a family! I was pushing my kids on the swings the other day and my husband, who was working from home that day, brought his computer out and worked the last hour in the “club house” area so we could all hang together. The weight limits are high enough that we can all be on there and have no concerns about structural integrity, and there are enough fun aspects that my kids are always finding new ways to entertain themselves (and each other). Definitely recommend it!

We purchased and assembled over a weekend. It took 2 people about a day and a half to assemble. If you follow the instructions, it should be no problem. Sort everything ahead of time and pre-read and read the directions. Very easy to follow step by step setup. The grandkids love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this set Spring of 2023 and although it's only November, there are several things that are already showing wear. Some of the boards have cracked where the screws went in, a board has separated (like it was pressed wood and the top layer is peeling away), the black on the roof is already coming off, etc... The wood is soft and dents or chips very easily. Also, there's a space that's far too big between the last step and the floor of the set. We had to add a board across the top of the ladder to stop a child from going through, which almost happened more than once but fortunately someone was there to catch him. I expected more for the price, especially since we had our last playset for over 20 years.

Very easy instructions. Actually enjoyed building this swing set. Backyard discovery did an awesome job on this very strong and durable swing set. I’ve had other brands swing sets that only lasted a year or two with thin boards throughout and would sway when kids were using it. I can tell this build could last decades.
