[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the build. It would have been really cool to make it bigger (all of these items together). I know it was tried in the past and maybe didn't sell, but a bigger version would.

Bought this set last year and put off building it because of the negative reviews of the process. Finally, I tackled it and was surprised at how cute and sturdy it was. The tiny buildings were crammed with details and the colors were wild! When you finish each section, you feel a sense of accompliment. I had no idea where to put it, then decided on the window-sill so the light comes through the colored transparent pieces. All-in-all, a fun endeavor.

Never before have I been so dissapointed in a LEGO set, that it caused me to feel the need to write a negative review (not even when LEGO placed a squishy plastic Velociraptor in a Jurrasic Park set). This set however infuriated me more and more with every step of the build. Prior to purchasing this set, I kept wondering why LEGO never advertised the height of this kit. Now I know why. The majority of this set is under 5" tall. The centerpiece of this set, the piece de resistance (Gringott's Bank) is only 6" tall. Imagine, a three story building depicted in less than 6". The other buildings in this set are two story with raised roof lines, and as mentioned are less than 5" tall. The scale of this set is so small, you can barely complete the build (kid sized fingers are almost a must), never the less see the details inside the rooms. On top of the scale issues, the detail is pathetic. The dragon on top of Gringott's Bank looks like a three year old designed it, and don't even get me started on the micro characters. You can't even see the faces on these characters, what a joke! I have puchased LEGO FRIENDS sets for my daughter that had more scale and detail than this kit, and for half the cost!! With the scale and detail of this set, LEGO should have marketed it as a MINIATURE SET. So very disappointing, and frustrating (due to the cost)!

Detail is astounding. I bought for my Daughter's 24th birthday but it is on my wishlist as well. it is stunning

The entire Diagon Alley complete with Gringotts Bank in MINIATURE! Can’t to include it with the rest of my Harry Potter collection.

Super fun to put together and a nice lengthy process. Not super quick so you really feel like it’s work the price

I think it is great they make Legos for young adults. Much rather have them experience Legos than video gaming.

Enjoyed the building! Would recommended for an afternoon build! Miniature builds are excellent for smaller spaces

This set was so fun to build, and I love how it turned out. I’m a big fan of both Harry Potter and LEGO, so this was an amazing collaboration. At first, I wanted the large Diagon Alley set, but this one ended up being the perfect build. There’s so much detail!

While you can see this is 3 parts, in reality, it's 5. The side "wings" come apart into two sections each and do not stay together at all. It's really disappointing because it makes it a bit harder to create the "alley" when trying to show/share the build - I want to be able to "swing" the build into place. Instead, I'm Tetris-ing the 5 sections into align. Also, the building DOESN'T swing at all. The two side wings fully detach (all 5 sections detach, actually), and then re-"click" into place (but again, those attachment points are awful and the really just hang out in-place. Truthfully, I asked for this specifically as it's the same scale as my Hogwarts Castle (#71043) as a gift and my family kindly gifted it to me. However, I wish I hadn't gotten it. At the micro-figure scale, you really lose all those amazing details that make Lego Builds so fun. Stick to the larger, traditional Mini-Fig scale, even if it means more builds in the long run. I wish I had.
