Rice comes out perfectly chewy and evenly cooked. Super easy to use, and the results are consistently great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I’ve used the rice cooker for white and brown rice, old-fashion-oats oatmeal, and lentils—all good! Nice to set it and forget it. Love having breakfast ready after walking the dogs.

I really like my Cuckoo Rice cooker for white rice and sometimes brown. But I don't really understand the various cooking options for other grains that may be available. I would really like to see a simple to use description of the settings to cook the various grains I am trying to cook. These include: steel cut oats; groats; faro; millet; barley; hard red winter wheat; bulgar wheat; quinoa; wild rice. I'll bet that other users can add another dozen types to this list. Please publish a general recipe cookbook for all of these types.

This is an excellent no-frills rice cooker for couples or a family of 3. That is the only limitations, as if you want more you should go with a larger machine. The rice comes out beautifully fluffy or sticky depending on your preference. Cooking time is about 30 mins on average and it can be timed to stay warm for longer. I definitely recommend this cooker.

One comment would like to make. The instruction manual should be written in bigger and bold letters. I’m using a magnifying glass to read it

Honestly, I had to return this one BUT I did repurchase the bigger size one. This size is very small- personally I think it would be nice as someone who is more used to single servings. I meal prep, I do have the exact same one in the bigger size and love it. Easy to clean, easy to drain, very cute in general. My meat comes out cooked if I throw thin slices and the rice is always perfect, restaurant quality. Definitely recommend the bigger size even if you are only one person, it just holds alot morer!

I have owned many rice cookers over the past 20 years. This one is nice but the footprint seems bigger than it needs to be considering the size of the inner pot. The inner pot is very good quality. The buttons aren’t very sensitive so they are sometimes hard to select. I have had to adjust the normal amount of water that I use. Overall I do like the rice cooker but it will take some getting used to. We do use it daily sometimes multiple times a day so I do hope it lasts. I do like that the upper inner lid is removable and can be washed.

It cooks and reheats white rice perfectly.

It was a gift and was greatly appreciated.
