[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve previously owned the tilt version of KitchenAid mixer. I thought this version would give better access to adding ingredients while mixer is running. I would have to give the better rating to the tilt version. It is also quicker to lift mixer than lower the bowl in this mixer. If I’m going to recommend mixers tilt vs.bowl lift, I would give the nod to tilt.

I was not a huge baker before. Now, due to the ease of use, I am thoroughly enjoying it! So is my family! Everyone NEEDS to have one of these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this set to try. I have been a fan of KitchenAid mixers for some time and still am. I have inherited my mother's, mother-in-law's and with my own smaller model, this makes for my fourth unit. It is extremely durable and versatile. This unit is the Pro model, so it is larger with larger capacity bowl. It also came with a small bowl and its own small whisk for making small batches of frosting. The large capacity stainless steel bowl is just right for the larger batches of bread dough that I make. Attachements include dough hook, whisk, paddle and spatula. Can't have too many spatulas. The unit is lighter than my older, smaller model so it makes it easier to move around the kitchen and put away in a cupboard. The hub allows for several attachement add-on's and the pasta maker I already have will fit. These models come in a variety of colors, mine was a lighter blue. I am sure anyone can find a color to fit their decor.

I love the large capacity of the bowl and it hasn’t done me wrong mixing the dough. I love how pretty it looks sitting on my counter as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for the original that had a shrapnel that fell from the planetary but there’s something wrong with the arm lift on this replacement. It locks half way down so I have to put more pressure to lower it completely. Doing this repeatedly puts pressure on the plastic mechanism in it and eventually it break prematurely. The 3 quart bowl has small dents.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first feature I found myself loving was this mixer's 5.5 quart capacity! I now make dozens of cookie dough from scratch in the matter of an hour vs all day when tirelessly beating the mix by hand! It also has a half speed setting so no splattering messes happen while adding ingredients. The extra attachments (flat beater, dough hook splatula, and 2 wisks) were a fantastic surprise that makes this completely ready for use straight out of the box! This mixer is built to last and built to do so many things! I have made cookies, pupusas, mashed potatoes and banana bread in one week!

The bowls clip in and lift up and down using the handle on the side . I made bread dough and the mixer really made great work of the dough using the dough hook. I highly recommend this stand mixer.

Handles heavy dough so much better than my old tilt-head mixer—no wobbling or struggling. I’ve really been putting it through its paces and it hasn’t missed a beat. The bowl-lift design feels super sturdy, and I like that I can make bigger batches without worrying about overloading it. If you bake a lot or deal with thick doughs, this thing is a beast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like it, wish it was A Shiny Black instead of dull Black, I've had a tilt head for years, bowl lift version is a little head to get used to. Bought a 7 qt bowl for it. It fits great, can't quite figure out which beaters to get for the Larger bowl that this mixer.
