Great for a while. Our Artesian series broke so we replaced it with a 7 qt. November 2023. It is already broken. In 5 years we have had 3 different Kitchen Aid mixers break. It is disappointing and we now will try to find another brand. Every issue has been a motor issue.

I’ve used it for baking a few times but most recently have been using the grinding attachment to make dog food from scratch. Just before Christmas, my mom’s mixer finally came to a halt. I’d consider that 30-35 year life span was amazing considering my mom baked a lot during her 5-10 years with it on top of my 25 years. Fortunately, this happened just before Christmas so Sam’s club was having a sale on them. I haven’t done any baking with it yet but my new Mixer works great for grinding up the ingredients needed for my dog’s food. I’m hopeful that this one will last another 30 years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had a Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer for 20 years and have loved it. I upgraded to this mixer a couple months ago and have not been disappointed. It stayed still on my counter (no flipping around) when kneading bread for 5-10 minutes. It’s consistently mixed well, with both the large and smaller bowls. I like that it slowly starts when turned on so that I don’t have to brace for flour or powdered sugar flying out the bowl at the start of mixing. Very satisfied and looking forward to many hours of future use!

I have problem when doing bread and like 2 or even 3 cups of flour the big bowl is very big and the beater doesn’t touch the bottom, and for the small bowl that comes with it, it doesn’t have beater. It drives me crazy for this reason

Has to be turned off an allowed to cool before it can be used again and that is with it being on low speed. I am afraid to use any higher speed.This was a Christmas gift from my son and his family. I love that the mixer lifts for easier access. I like that you can buy different attachments that you can use to make pasta, pastries or even grind meat. It comes with a flat beater, dough hook and 6 wire wise. The color is nice also.
