I love that the mixer lifts for easier access. I like that you can buy different attachments that you can use to make pasta, pastries or even grind meat. It comes with a flat beater, dough hook and 6 wire wise. The color is nice also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a gift, and I do not like it at all. This mixer so heavy it is a struggle to get it out of the pantry and onto the counter. When you add anything, you have to stop to scrape the sides of the bowl, stop to add ingredients, and to take the beater out you have to drop the bowl down, push the beater back in your mix, then pull it out. I am soooo sad this is a present & I can not take it back :-(

I’ve always said I wanted one but never got around to it so I was excited to get it as a gift; especially since I love baking. I made a few different cakes so far and I was so shocked at how easy it was to use. Once you adjust your settings fo where you want the bowl to sit, it’s easy peasy. If used appropriately, it will give you beautiful results. I look forward to getting the other attachments and making other foods.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to return my 1st one because the beater was leaving dark scratches Inside the bowl, and from the paddle it was chipping so I definatly didn't want to chance eating that. so I returned the 1st one and got another one, with this one it doesn't seem to reach the bottom of the bowl with like cake mixes etc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this KitchenAid 5.5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer. It is strong and sturdy. It has plenty of power and has worked great for the things I have mixed with it. I was surprised at how simple and easy it is to operate once you become familiar with it. The bowl firmly snaps into place and is held very securely but also pops out with little effort when you are ready to remove it from the stand. A lever moves the lift up and down. There is also an adjustment screw to fine tune the bowl placement so the beater or whisk just barely clears the bowl to maximize mixing without hitting the bowl and causing wear and damage. It is simple and easy to attach and remove the various attachments. There is a wide selection of speed settings so you can work to your needs. The color finish of the stand is beautiful and very high quality that will not be easily damaged. It is easy to clean. The materials and build of the stand are very high quality. This is a very sturdy mixer that will last a long time. This set comes with many pieces. Having the smaller bowl as well as the regular size bowl is really nice when I'm working with small amounts. The different attachments are great for different jobs and the spatula is shaped just right to work perfectly with this set up. All of the included items are high quality, function great, and are very durable. This mixer really does make things easier and more convenient. I am happily surprised at how much difference it makes. I am so glad I tried this mixer. I highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new KitchenAid 5.5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer! It's an excellent machine, a true workhorse in the kitchen. The 3-point locking bowl is a must for me. It holds the bowl in place while I'm mixing heavy ingredients, leaving my hands freer to quickly incorporate additional ingredients and, allowing everything to stay closer to the best temperatures. The 5.5 Quart Bowl is large enough to handle several batches of dough at once, and big enough to whip enough potatoes for my large holiday gatherings. My only want is for a handle on the mixing bowl. The included flat beater, dough hook, and wire whip had me all ready to tackle every dessert I've ever wanted to make. I also find the included 3-qt stainless steel bowl, mini whip, and spatula very useful. I highly recommend this KitchenAid stand mixer, it's beauty, and functionality are outstanding.

I was so sad to discover the Hobart did not make the Kitchen Aid mixers any longer. I can definitely tell a difference. But so far it's working, I'm sure it's not going to last 51 years.

I bought this mixer a year ago. Very shortly after(like weeks) the mixer attachment had a paint chip, but nothing could be done so I let it go. The mixer itself is amazing. I bought the shredder/slicer attachment and use that all the time instead of buying shredded cheese. It’s black and looks beautiful on our countertop.

Has to be turned off an allowed to cool before it can be used again and that is with it being on low speed. I am afraid to use any higher speed.This was a Christmas gift from my son and his family. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid Stand Mixer has been a staple in my kitchen for several years, with the current classic red iteration still going strong after 7 years of heavy use. My whole family loves cooking and baking, and my husband is especially passionate about his culinary creations. We have all sorts of mixers and blenders but the trusty KitchenAid is always pulled out for the big work. The only issues I personally had with it was the weight and bulk, both of which made it all the more cumbersome to tilt lift the head to remove the bowl or add ingredients. So a couple days ago, my new matte blue beauty arrived in the mail and we were truly blown away. Aesthetically, let’s just say the Stand Mixer has made it to full time countertop space. The beautiful, matte powder blue body is classic and modern, and I swear it’s maybe a third of the weight of our old one. It’s streamlined and easy to move around. The fresh, sleek new look carries through to the stainless steel components as does the obviously increased performance and quality. Included with the mixer are another half sized mixing bowl and multiple attachments, along with a super cool spatula with a special groove for getting all the delicious stuff stuck on the whisks. The crowning achievement is absolutely the new Bowl-Lift technology that solves all of my problems and even allows my 4 and 6 year old budding chefs to join in safely and easily. With the 2 side by side, the differences are plain to see. The professional level output has twice the power so my amazing cook of a husband can go to town on everything from fresh masa dough to thick salsas to handmade pasta and everything in between. I am so excited for the kitchen memories my family and I will create together with the help of our new KitchenAid Stand Mixer.
