First time sleeping on the new mattress. I thought it would be more firm than it is. The same mattress in the store seemed to be a bit more firm. I experienced a very restful sleep and woke up without the usual aches and pains that I had from my ten year old Sealy mattress. I like that it is a much thicker mattress than my previous mattress so I'm hoping it holds up much better and the side doesn't crush down from sitting on the side of the bed as my old mattress did. Only time will tell. The only thing that I don't like at this point is the cost of the mattress. The price was a deterrent until S&F offered a nice discount. I 'm hoping that the old saying, "you get what you pay for", holds true for my new mattress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the comfiest mattress I have ever slept on. The pillowtop is as soft as a cloud and cushions and cradles you when you lay on it. I sank right in, but the rest of the mattress is thick and firm enough that I still get the suport I need for my back. I knew I was going to like this mattress, I didn't know it was going to change my sleep as much as it did; snuggles the insomnia away.

What a disappointment. Shoulder pain, upper back pain, and hot. Mattress is cool when you climb into bed, but after a few minutes the mattress is getting very warm. This causes me to toss and turn. I bought this at a retail shop and can't return it so I'm stuck with a mattress that is hot and uncomfortable. I called S&F's customer support and told me to buy a cooling mattress topper. Oh joy, more money to spend to fix their crummy mattress design. Makes you wonder if they did product testing. Overpriced. This mattress may end up on curb.

Never have I had the best night sleeps since purchasing this bed. My sister recommended Stearns and Foster and boy was she right. I have fibromyalgia and a bad back and I am telling you this bed has been a life saver. They said it might take awhile to get use to a new bed .. not for me. The very first night in my bed was life changing. I have told everyone I know with pain how this bed has changed my life. I wish I would have known this many years ago. ❤️

Definitely firm, I was concerned it would be too firm But it hasnt been. It's cooler Than my old pillow top but I'm sure that has something to Do with the inter workings of the bed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Sterns & Foster Lux Estate Ultra Firm Tight Top, queen as a promotion. I am a stomach and side sleeper and found this to be extremely difficult sleep on as is. I woke up in pain the first night and unable to fall back asleep. This bed is just too hard for myself to sleep on. My husband however, didn't mind the firmness. My hope is that the bed will "loosen a bit" over time. In the meantime, I now have a mattress topper and am enjoying the bed finally. I do like that the bed is higher now. I am 5'7" and just fit comfortably. Ultra firm is not for everyone and I'm sure a select few would benefit from this stiff mattress.

Before I got it, I was always tossing and turning and waking up soaked in sweat but now I fall into a dead sleep and have no more night sweats!! I don't wake up so sore anymore either.
