Very nice with a few querks

This is a very nice pressure washer. I like the electric start although sometimes if the motor fires once or twice but does not start, the starter motor spins for about 10 seconds and you cannot try to start again until it stops. Not a big issue, just one quirk. The hose hanger kinds sucks.I don't use it. The pressure sprayer wand works well. I like the trigger, but the shape of the handle caused a blister on my thumb knuckle. Picture attached. This caused me to wear gloves while using it. All in all, it is a nice machine.

Defective product with no service options

I made the mistake of ordering the washer from Amazon. I got the washer, assembled it and was ready to go. It fired right up but there were immediate issues. The wand was leaking horribly in 2 different places not in joints. Water was pouring out of the trigger so badly it wouldn't reach any pressure. Then I noticed the unit was leaking fuel on my yard. I immediately called Generac. They said the unit was unsafe and I could return it to Amazon or take it to a dealer. Wrong on both. Amazon will not allow a return and just redirected me to Generac. So I called again and registered the product and was given two service locations. NEITHER work on pressure washers. I've tried calling Generac back multiple times but keep getting disconnected. I learned my lesson on Amazon for sure but Generac surprises me. Why do you produce and sell a product that the consumer can't get serviced? The next time I think about buying anything from you, I'll just light a wad of money on fire and look elsewhere.

Well...It looks good, but it is leaning to one side.

I purchased the 4200 power washer and it was delivered with the bearings falling out of one of the wheels and it didn't have the pressure washer hose with it. I haven't been able to even try it yet as I am awaiting the hose and bearings for the wheel that I will have to repair myself. So far I am very unimpressed. I will write a review when I actually get to use it. I can't believe it passed the quality control procedures at Generac...Now I am worried! So far this is the only rating I can give it. Sorry!

Obsessed Auto Detailer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for a pressure washer for awhile now and had done quite a bit of research. In the sub $500 range this was the only one I could find that you could adjust the pressure on without using different nozzles to achieve it. Assembly was fairly easy and it seems fairly well built. Most of the home pressure washers have a lot of cheap feeling plastic and almost seem toy like and this one is no different. I've used it a few times and just completed the first oil change at about 5 hours of use. As with any of the other machines the hose that comes with them is cheap and short so I've bought a longer and better quality one to use, but that's no knock on this one, as it's what they all seem to come with. The wand is of real good quality and I'd say better than comes with most machines in this price range. The only option this doesn't have that a couple of the competitors have that I wish this had was to idle down to a quieter state when not actively running water through it. But I really like the variable pressure, it just adjusts the engine's RPM's to control, but works well. It has started on first or second pull every time I've started it and runs pretty smooth. I'll use this this spring to clean the driveway and back deck, but about 99% of it's life will be spent washing cars. We've got e and I like keeping them clean. I can't speak for reliability or durability long term but so far with it I would buy it again and highly recommend this model.

Overall good

I was disappointed with no soap reservoir, the pressure hose is not very good, twists up and easy to kink, but it will get the job done. The purchase online a delivery was very prompt. I like the fuel cut off feature. I bought a surface washer which helped tremendously

Love this thing!

Bought this unit from my local dealer about 4 years ago. It's been incredible. Has started every time and has done everything I wanted it to do. People...USE ETHANOL FREE GAS!!! Most people use it once and put it up for 6 months and it won't start, or run correctly. It's the gas you're using. I've used this to pressure wash my deck, concrete and dock. Even using lake water through it. Probably not good for it, but it ran like a champ. I love it and would definitely recommend this pressure washer.

Electric start is great!

My 15-20 year old 2500 psi power washer was giving me fits to start. At 70yo with arthritis in my right shoulder it was taking a toll on me. I have a house on 1 acre of woods, lots of concrete, 3 vehicles and a camper, so I power wash quite a bit, especially now that I am retired. I began looking for an electric start unit and Generac was my top choice. I have used it for 10+ hours now and I love it. The electric start is great and the move up to a 3100 psi was right for me!

Very versatile compact unit for every home owner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a neighborhood that is always hiring pressure washing companies to clean the sidewalks and roofs. This unit has almost paid for itself in one year. In Florida the mold builds up fast and with the Generac pressure washer clean up is a breeze. I would highly recommend this product to everyone.

Great Pressure Waher but Handle too Short

Amazing pressure washer. Plenty of power for most everything. Good quality, unit starts up perfectly every time. Only issue is handle is too short. I am 5'10 and always bending over to reach handle to move pressure washer. If the handle where 3-5 inches longer would be 5 star

As powerful as a gas engine

After dealing with a gas engine power washer for years, I decided to go with this electric washer. I was surprised by the power and convivence this washer has. It is as powerful as a gas engine, there is no hassle with oil changes and dealing with gas, and can be stored in the warmth of my basement for the winter. My old power washer was stored in a shed because of the gas and the pump froze and cracked. This will not happen with this. Only used this twice so far, but very happy with the results.
