Great yard set

I bought this set on sale just for the batteries and charger (everything else is an added bonus!) I already owned this set that I bought last year, and wanted some extra batteries and low and behold...I got this entire set for the price of the batteries/charger on sale! I have a fairly large yard for a home in the city and needed extra batteries (or I had to mow one day and weed eat on another after the batteries charged.) This mower set is all you need (has everything included) and is super easy to put together. I just wish the batteries lasted longer

Mixed Review. Great equipment/poor batteries.

The mower, blower, and trimmer couldn’t be any easier to use. They would get a 5 star review if it weren’t for the batteries. The batteries get a 3 star review because the charge doesn’t last very long and to buy a back-up set would cost $200. ($99.99 each.) To add insult to injury, the re-charge time is quite long. So the average rating I will give is 4. I found my set on clearance at Sam’s for $299.99. That’s a pretty good value. Just realize the batteries aren’t long lasting or fast charging. I mow most of my lawn on Saturday until the batteries go dead. Then I have to charge them overnight and finish mowing, then weed eat and blow on Sunday.

Fantastic for the price, With caveats.

I've used this kit for about 3 years now so I feel qualified to leave a review of it. I bought this on a sale price and it was around $350. For that price, It is phenomenal. They are not the best electric lawn care tools, But they are still very much capable of getting the job done. I will go into them each specifically below. 1st. Is the push mower. It has a aluminum cutting deck and very easily adjustable cutting height lever. The motor itself is decent, Comparable to smaller gas engine mowers. It will cut most grass fairly easily and will do on ok job mulching. It will bog down if you let your grass get particularly long and if you are cutting it while wet. My property is about 1/3 of an acre and with the 4 AH batteries included with the kit, I Just barely fall short of being able to do it on a single run. I've adapted to just cutting half in the morning hours and half at evening after they are able to charge back up. The mower itself is very quiet and should not disturb neighbors. 2. String Trimmer. Its rather excellent. It has a lot of power and is light to hold. Even just using 2 2 AH batteries I got from a different kit, It is easily able to handle my property. While its not advertised as such, You can do some basic edging with it if you don't find fenagaling with it a bit. Only dislike I have is with the head design. Sometimes I've noticed it doesn't feed properly and the strings will be a bit short. It will eventually free itself up but you can speed this up by tapping it on something flat and hard while its engaged. Respooling the cutting line is not as easy as it is on other trimmers but WorX does give you a "free" lifetime of string if your order it on their website, As long as you pay for shipping. They pre done spools turn it into a 30 second job to pop a new one in and I do recommend them. 3. The Blower. Its also very satisfactory. Well balanced and light while still putting out a lot of air. Its definitely a middle of the pack in terms of CFM blower so set your expectations appropriately. Using it to gather leaf's on your lawn might take a bit longer but for cleaning off a car, Garage, Porch, Or driveway it will do the job easily. This tool in particular is very taxing on the batteries. It will drink them dry very quickly. Plan accordingly because you very likely will not be able to cut your lawn and then use this for very long afterwards. And finishing I will talk about the batteries and the included dual port charger. I do not find the 4 AH batteries included in this kit to be sufficient. I hear it used to be offered with 5 AH batteries and I believe that would have been the sweet spot for this kit even if they had to up the price a bit. The charger itself is also dreadfully slow. It will take you 5 hours to charge the batteries in this kit. I strongly recommend buying the 8 AH batteries and the quick charger to go along with them if you have a large yard. I've not noticed any cell degradation in my time of ownership

Great Deal

All the equipment is very good! The only thing I do not care for is the life of the batteries. The run time is only 45 minutes. So I have to wait 4 hours to recharge and finish. This is forcing me to buy 2 additional batteries!!

Good but 2 batteries is 1

Good but 2 batteries is 1 because each one of these components requires 2 batteries to work. So why have 2? I was under the impression that I’d keep one on the charger and 1 in use and always have a backup - but not the case with this gem. 2 requires to operate. Now I can’t find anywhere to get a backup ‘2’ batteries so I have 1 backup battery.

Takes both batteries to run; 15 minute run time.

this looked like a fabulous purchase due to the $199 price with instant savings. Sadly it was not a deal. Took 4.5 hours to charge both batteries then they only ran for 15 minutes. The mower is easy to adjust and the bagger actually works well. Throw cover is way too easy to knock off in tall grass but otherwise it works as well. The trimmer worked well for the short time i tried it out. Good balance with the long handle. Still haven't tried the blower as the short battery time makes it the least needed of the bunch. Mower height adjustments range from ground level to a nice high first run if you have let it go. Just remember, you're only getting 15 minutes a pop. Looked at getting 2 additional batteries for double the run time but they are priced insanely high. Strictly from a battery and charger cost angle this was a decent purchase getting the mower, trimmer 7 blower for basically $100 after charger & battery cost. The box was too big to fit in my car so I had to unload all the items in the parking lot to my back seat. Otherwise I would likely have tried to return this. I have a Worx trimmer with the normal big battery and it tricked me into thinking this would be a good run time with all the 'new' technology talk for additional cooling around the smaller batteries.

You get what you get

Reviewing the products themselves: the mower is not what was expected. We have used electric mowers before (specifically the EGO brand), and compared to that -this mower is not as powerful, nor has as much endurance due to the batteries that are included. The batteries seem to work fine for the weed eater and leaf blower, which are both typical and not much to say regarding how they perform... they're a weed eater and a leaf blower -they don't take much to do what they do. The mower on the other hand is horribly underpowered, and the batteries tend to overheat quickly when mowing in direct sunlight. I'm not sure if that's a typical issue with most electric mowers, but I've never had that happen with the EGO we have. I got this bundle to save some money getting my son some extra tools for the yard -and this bundle absolutely delivered on that front. However, for what we expected as opposed to what we received, I wouldn't recommend getting this for anything more than to show someone you have tools that could be used if you really wanted to.

Battery operated vs. gasoline mower

First time buying a battery operated mower, weedeater and blower. The batteries were missing out of the large box. Charging takes about 5 hours and each tool uses two batteries. The mower can’t handle grass that has much height. It didn’t mow a very large area before the batteries played out. It’s quiet, not much power. Took two times to mow and recharge just to do my front lawn.

Not the best, somewhat mediocre

The mower is bulky and stodgy, but it does cut the grass. Battery life is dismally low. Charging time for batteries is way too long at 3.5 to 5 hrs. Can’t even mow 1/2 the lawn and my lawn isn’t that big. Then I have to wait another 5 hrs to charge for trimmer or blower. Trimmer line cage mangled and flew off into a rats nest in the first 5 minutes. The blower doesn’t have a strap to hold up the heavy frame (have to use both heavy batteries). The blower does blow with low med high speeds and a turbo button. Every single item to include charger, batteries and tools has a serial number and model number. Good concept - but design of all is lacking. I would not recommend these Worx yard tools until they get a more efficient and longer living battery life, and shorter charging time.

Great Concept, Poor Execution

Sure! Here’s a rephrased version of your review from a disappointed buyer’s perspective: ⸻ I had high hopes for the Great Outdoors lawn maintenance set, but unfortunately, it’s been a letdown. While the tools themselves seem decent, the fact that only one set of batteries is provided for all three appliances is a major drawback. Even more frustrating, the batteries only last about 30 minutes on a full charge. This means cutting the yard turns into an all-day project, constantly waiting for batteries to recharge. Definitely not worth the hassle.
