We have had this mattress for a year and a half and already replacing it! Worst mattress ever for the high dollar price it was! We gave it a chance in the beginning thinking it just needed breaking in but then it was past the time to return it. So poorly made that you feel every lump, the indentations stay put and you roll into them each night and feels like you are going to roll out of bed. You feel every movement of the other one. I suffer from fibromyalgia and I have never felt this bad with body aches and pains after a sleep. We both now need physical therapy to fix our problems. Husband has back issues that have worsened as well. Can't even turn over without difficulty! From leg pain, hip pain, low back pain, shoulder pain, and muscles spasms this mattress has caused more issues than it's worth. Don't even get me started on how HOT it sleeps! We wake up in sweats! Literally money wasted on this S & F Lux Estate pillow top medium edition. Never again. I do not recommend this product.

My husband and I are absolutely blown away by the quality of this product. We knew we needed a new mattress, but have been trying to hold out as long as we could (inflation ). After a month or so of consistently waking up in pain, with stiffness and aches that would last a good part of the morning, I had the last straw. We went to our local mattress store and we trialed several different beds. My husband and I agreed we wouldn't shop with price in mind, but instead we would shop for comfort. I laid on this mattress and felt like I fell into a cloud. It supported every curve on my body and suited me as a side/back sleeper and my husband as a side/belly sleeper. We still laid on other mattresses - unsure if we wanted traditional coils or if we wanted to get another all foam mattress. The hybrid is really the best of both worlds. We got it delivered and set up, napped for the afternoon and woke up for the first time in months without any shred of pain! My husband and I both have rheumatic arthritic conditions. The bed you sleep on is an investment. We have the soft, the medium was okay, the firm was too much for us. If you can, sample the mattress and you, too, will be sold on the superior quality of Stearns & Foster!!!

We bought a very expensive mattress to support our backs and to relieve discomfort we were having. It made some improvement but advice from a physical therapist to place a pillow between our knees did much more good. Now after a little over a year, depressions are developing where we sleep with a ridge in the middle. A service technician came out to evaluate it and made measurements along the ridge so found no problem. You can clearly see the depressions even with a comforter on top. Also, the sides are beginning to roll down. This is not the quality I would expect from a mattress in this price range.

This soft mattress is of good quality and is, indeed quite soft. The thing that concerned my on delivery was the flimsyness (only way I can think to describe it) of the mattress itself. The man carrying it had it over his head and it was bending down to his shoulders. I worry that this bed lacks the internal infrastructure to stand up to nightly use by two average-sized adults for an extended period of time. If you like very soft mattresses, this S&L Lux Hybrid Soft Queen is a hit. If you like any firmness to your mattress, though, this is not the one to choose.

My husband and I purchased the most expensive mattress of our lives because we believe that it is worth it. We had owned Stearns and Foster in the past, and have been happy with them. Let me disclose that we are both in our upper 70's. The first problem we experienced was that the mattress is super heavy. It took both of us to make the bed. Secondly, the pillow top shifted almost immediately. Within 3 months, we were both sleeping in a hole. When the bed was made up, two body holes and a mound in the middle showed through the bedspread. The company from whom we purchased mattress, sent a representative out to measure and advise us what to do. The "fix" for the shift in the pillow top, was to walk on the bed to shift the top. Keep in mind, we are in our seventies. That wasn't a great solution for us. So we continue to sleep in our holes and if we move to the middle, we are literally sleeping on an angle. We honestly believe that the foundation under the pillow top is solid and of good value. If you are young and not afraid of breaking a hip, and still have a good back to lift 200 pounds to make up the bed, go for it. If you are older, be advised, it might not be the best bed for you!

On 09/10/22 I purchased a Sterns & Foster "handcrafted" Lux Estate Hybrid Pollock King size mattress. I purchased the expensive mattress because it's promoted as premium brand with a "sleep worry-free for a decade" 10-year warranty. I also liked the 90-day sleep trial as I have a back injury and needed to make sure my back could tolerate the new mattress. Turns out I loved it. I loved it so much I convinced my parents to buy one of their own. Fast forward to 04/10/23. (Just a little over 6 months later.) The work that the "master craftsmen" did to stitch the mattress cover was coming apart. I filed a warranty claim and was emailed a response that tells me physical abuse and damage including cuts and tears to fabric aren't covered. First off, the mattress wasn't abused, and it wasn't a cut or a tear - the stitching was coming apart at the seam in multiple areas. When I called customer service at (800)697-3249 I was told there's nothing that could be done and was refused transfer to a manager because "the decision had already been made". This is not the answer I expect from a representative of a high-end product. Honestly that's the worst answer a customer service representative can tell someone who is having problems with any product. I purchased this mattress based on the reputation of Sterns & Foster. I told the rep that I was considering finding every single website I can that advertises this mattress to leave negative reviews because the Sterns & Foster website specifically sells this product with the marketing that it is "stitched to perfection". He told me if that's what I feel like I should do - then I should do it. I let him know that I would contact the corporate office first and give Sealy another chance to resolve this concern with my mattress. I'm really surprised that Sealy would treat customers in this manner. I took a chance buying an expensive mattress because I believed that premium products are better made and I also believed that I wouldn't have any issues, now that I do it's quite disappointing. Worse than disappointing, the marketing is deceiving when the website says that the 10-year limited warranty covers "all parts of the mattress". Fast forward and I feel like I am becoming The Princess and the Pea. After writing a letter & complaining directly to the corporate office my issue was sent to the warranty escalations team who authorized replacing the mattress. On May 18, 2023 a new king size Sterns & Foster mattress was delivered to my home and the other taken away. From the first night I could tell that the new mattress did not compare to the old one in any way. I wanted to give it a little time to see if my partner also felt the same way. I checked the website and realized that the Lux Hybrid doesn't even come in the Pollack or in cushion firm anymore - just soft, medium, and firm. I never received any sort of receipt or invoice from Sterns & Foster telling me what my replacement is, but the sleep quality is nowhere near what I was used to on the previous mattress. I absolutely LOVED the first mattress and If I had ANY idea that I would be sent a completely different replacement I would have sewed the stitching that was coming apart myself rather than send it back! After reviewing the website lately, I find the new Lux Hybrid mattresses don't have the row of microcoils that the first did when I ordered it last November and I believe this is the reason it feels so different to me - because it is made fundamentally different now. I am really surprised that the warranty escalations team would not warn me of the changes to the models before offering to replace the other. I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place as the delivery personnel told me that the mattress they took away would be shredded. What a waste! Other than the stitching issue it was a perfectly good mattress and one that I would much rather have than the new one that Sealy sent. And it's not just that the replacement mattress is firmer; I can feel every time my partner moves, and its hotter - I have to kick the covers off at night when I am overheating. The other one simply had a stitching issue. Now Sealy has told me there's nothing else they will do as they claim the replacement mattress sent was identical to the first. What a cheap rip-off. I even purchased a new queen-sized Sterns & Foster mattress for my guest bedroom when Sealy stepped up and said they would replace the first. I wish I would've waited, I now believe Sealy has no intention of treating their customers right.

This is my first experience with this brand, but it won't be my last. We absolutely love this mattress! It is very thick and I do plan on buying some deep fitted sheets, but that's not a big deal. Because it's so tall, it is able to offer much support. It's firm, but the pillow top offers just enough softness to be very comfortable. I'm a side sleeper and my husband sleeps on his stomach, we both have been sleeping great on it. A good night sleep is so important and comfort makes all the difference. We have owned mattresses from other big brands, but this one is by far our favorite. Even the material of the mattress feels luxurious and is attractive. It's obvious thought and detail went into making it. It was also a very easy and painless delivery. The service sent many updates and the delivery drivers were very kind. I will definitely be recommending this mattress to friends and family looking for a new one.

It's this beautiful blue and has a fun design on it. The material they used is also very soft. Now on to the mattress itself. The mattress was so comfortable! I wasn't sure if it was going to be too firm for me, but the medium was absolutely perfect. I felt like Goldilocks when she found the "just right" bed I slept like a baby (with 3 kids that's always a plus) and woke up without any weird kinks in my neck or any discomfort. I would absolutely recommend this bed!
