Three cats, two dogs, two litter boxes and a house that has NO, None, Nine odors what so ever. I keep a bag of this close to each litter box, as it's used on a daily basis. And yes the dogs have nothing to do with the litter boxes, at least as far as we know... hmmmm

Baking Soda is a necessity for any home. Versatility: with so many uses around the house, plus with zero aluminum it's a perfect substitute in the kitchen for any recipe that calls for Baking Powder (since most power contains aluminum which can have unhealthy side effects). Just don't use more than the recipe calls for. For other uses, read the label or look it up on line.

I buy baking soda in bulk. Sam's Club has an amazing price for a large bag. This bag was 15 pounds the first time I purchased it. When I bought it again the size had shrunk down to 13.5: pounds. This is still a wonderful price for the large amount. I will keep buying this as long as it's available.

A friend who worked at a pool chemical supply store suggested purchasing Baking Soda for the pool when the alkalinity gets low because this is just about the same as what pool chemical companies sell, but less expensive. When the alkalinity and ph get out of whack, I backwash, add half a bag of Baking soda, and check the pool water in 24 hours after circulating the water at least 8 hours. Often, this helps bump up the ph to the correct level and increases the alkalinity reading, too. The bag gives information about how to utilize the product for pool water maintenance.

We are on our second bag of this size. We use this to get the film from milk off bottles, stuck on stuff off pans, grease stains out of clothes, clean out kitchen sink, add to baths to reduce itching, remove orders from the fridge or diaper pale and so many more. This is a household staple. My husband knows that if he asks me what to use on something in the house I am probably going to say this or vinegar. We get the giant bag and then put it in smaller containers.

I love this size of arm and hammer baking soda. I put it in every load of laundry, add it to shampoo for greasy hair, to my face wash to exfoliate, toothpaste to remove stains from your teeth, put it on overflow food cooked on the stove and it comes off without a major fight.

I use the baking soda in my washer and cleaning around the house. I add ½ a cup to my detergent, and the clothes has a fresh scent, without adding softener. Fabric softener isn't good for your clothes or towels. The baking soda is terrific and helps with some stains.
