reply from The Mr. Clean Team

We're glad you love the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! It may help to know that the eraser This product is designed to compress and break down as it's used, like a pencil eraser. It can leave behind small pieces of residue, just as a pencil eraser does. How long it lasts depends on how many times it's used and the roughness of the surfaces you use it on. For best results, wet the pad with water before use and gently squeeze out (don't twist) excess water). If you have further questions or need more help, our Mr. Clean Team is standing by. Please give us a call at 1-800-248-1612 from 9AM — 6PM EST Monday – Friday.
