reply from The Mr. Clean Team

We are sorry you had this experience with your Magic Eraser Extra Durable. Our products undergo many quality checks to ensure they get to you with the best results, so we don't expect these things to happen. It might help to know that this product is designed to compress and break down as it's used, like a pencil eraser. It can leave behind small pieces of residue, just as a pencil eraser does. How long the product lasts depends on how many times you use it and how rough the surfaces you use it on are. For best results, wet the pad with water before you use it. Then squeeze out excess water rather than wringing or twisting the pad. So we can learn more about your experience, please call us at (800) 248-1612 when you have a moment.

Not a multi surface product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect for smooth surfaces. I tried to use it on a rough surface and the product crumbled.

reply from Customer Care

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us, Janell. We hope it helps to know, the Magic Eraser works the best on smooth surfaces, however, it is designed to break down with use, much like a pencil eraser. We'd like to help you get the most out of your Mr. Clean, so when you have a minute please reach out to us at (800) 248-1612.
