They are absolutely horrible, it can take over 20 minutes to try to review any past footage. Don't buy this brand

Took me almost a year to run all the wires myself (inside and outside). Was NOT interested in "lazy man's" wireless camera's. Your just asking for issues with connections!! All my cameras work perfectly. The app works great. Can see all pictures clearly. Is it the best out there? Probably not but I was not willing to spent unlimited money on cameras! If I'm home I can see who's outside. If I'm not home and see someone, I'm on my way or a quick call to my neighbor! Perfect peace of mind! Thanks guys!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now that I've got this system set up and running, I needed help from my son-in-law, I love it. We have 4 cameras, which cover views from all around our house. I love that I can view these from anywhere, I can also add anyone I want to help me monitor the house if we are busy and unable. Also has a button you can push on the app that makes the camera say you are being recorded, it can also flash lights. Great way to let unwelcome visitors know they aren't welcome. We are still learning all we are able to do with this system. Happy to have it. Definitely helps our family feel more secure. Also if we ever have porch pirates, it would be nice to catch them. That's a nice feeling.

In the beginning of trying to find the best system was difficult. Trying to find which one would best suit me but also be affordable. I'm now on my 3rd night owl system at my house. I've had cameras on my house now for 10 years. So I've had to upgrade a few times but that's the only reason I've gone through 3 systems. I'm currently in the process of buying my first wireless system for my business. If I could give 10 stars I would every time they bring out something new is top of the line. All the add on parts make night owl unbeatable. I would recommend night owl to everyone if it's where you just want one camera to only see a live view to having 18 cameras inside and outside of your home or business.

It is easy to use and love the security and ease of mind. I'm also enjoying seeing the night life around me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] NIGHT OWL SECURITY 2-WAY AUDIO 12 CHANNEL DVR SECURITY SYSTEM WITH 1 TB HARD DRIVE AND 4 WIRED 2 K is really a do it all system and after reading directions it will be a snap to hook up with my WIFI. My grandson is coming over this weekend to install for me, he said after I read him the directions it will be a piece of cake to do and he said he knew of the system and it was the best for me and it will really keep me safe. The cameras are very well made and comes with enough wire for setup.This is a fabulous system that will protect my property and me for years to come.

Out of the box, it seemed like it should be pretty easy to set up once I determine how I'd place my cameras. This is a wired system, meaning you must run wires to/from each camera to its main hub. I do wish there was a wireless option since I don't want to run wires all around my home. This limited me in where I'd place my cameras. It is nice that they provide the harnesses for the plugs so you can tie it all into one plug. I was able to network the main hub into my router. It was a little difficult getting things to connect and sync with the app on my phone. After a few tries I was connected. I do feel the cameras are a little lacking in the viewing space. They should be more of a wide angle view because when you mount these, there are blind spots below and to the sides of the camera. This was a little disappointing as I couldn't get a full view of my driveway and garage. Other than that, the camera quality is good, picks up sound and motion like you want with a security system. I'd recommend this to someone who was fine running wires, I feel it may be more suited for a business than a home but it is adequate for either. I'd like to see the option to add wireless cameras to reduce running wires thru walls and such. Overall it does the job and I have been happy with it since installing.
