Customer reviews for 2400-Watt EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max Portable Power Station + X Boost proprietary technology forQuiet and easy to use
We recently used our new Delta 2 Max and an extra batter for a Delta Max on a week long camping trip. We ran all of our electronics including a 5000btu window AC on our tiny camper without any issues whatsoever. We have solar on the camper and were able to utilize the 2 solar inputs. We use one from the panels and the second from the DC outlet in the vehicle. Also we charged when need using a small inverter generator. The gray part is that we could charge completely in under 3 hours and run the AC all day for the dogs when it was hot. Without the Delta 2 Max we would’ve been just needlessly running a generator. Lots of features and happy to use this setup for many more years.
Just what I wanted
I had been researching portable power systems for some time. My specific use case was for extended off-grid camping, with the ability to charge from solar or AC (when available) I also wanted to be able to use it in a limited home-backup role for powering critical items (refrigerator, freezer, etc) during power outages at home. The Delta 2 Max ticked all the boxes. With the ability to expand up to 6KWH storage with the extra battery packs, it could serve this secondary role very well. Thus far, very please with the purchase, and support from a very active user community. Two thumbs up!
Heavy, but gets the job done
Works amazing and does 99% of what I ask of it in the form factor I need it, but the lack of 30 amp outlet and 24v car charger output are shortfalls I'd like to see resolved in a future product update. Moving this thing around also isn't the easiest thing. I can carry it one handed for a trip to the car, but anything beyond that, (or any use case that would drain the battery in one sitting) and I find myself highly unmotivated to use it. For now, it is the perfect backup power supply to my fridge and deep freezers. I bought this for electricity during emergency situations and it will definitely do the job!
Delta 2 Max Does What I Want it to Do
I haven’t had the delta 2 Max for very long so my review won’t be as in-depth as I would normally do. I bought this unit to run my 1000w microwave during nighttime (when my household solar is not active) plus as a battery backup in case of power outages. It runs the microwave with ease and I have no doubt it will run my pellet stove for quite some time if needed. I’ve charged it both off household electricity and solar panels with no issues. My one real complaint is, being this large of a unit, I would think that most people will use it for AC power (I could be wrong). But, the main power button, as well as the screen are on the opposite end from the AC and charging sides. However, if you are charging a phone, hey, you can watch the wattages output, the time it can hold at the power drawn and other info from that same end. It’s a minor quibble, but irritates me. Another irritation (and they all seems to do it), is to have a black package with dark gray writing. I can’t see that with a flashlight and readers. If there were more of a contrast between the colors, I’d have a fighting chance. But again, all 3 of my battery stations, from 3 different makers, are like that. I rated as 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't had this long and they are sort of expensive. I haven't found any flaws yet.

Large capacity and lots of ways to use it
I purchased the Delta 2 Max as a bundle with two solar panels included. Unfortunately, the solar to XT60 cables to connect the panels to the battery were not included in my shipment. I had to wait for those cables to arrive before being able to charge the battery. I also purchased a Wave 2 air conditioner to be powered by this battery. I did not know that connecting the Wave 2 to the Delta 2 required a proprietary cable. That cable was out of stock on the EcoFlow site, but fortunately I was able to find one on another site. Once I had all the necessary cables, I was genuinely pleased with the performance of the EcoFlow solar panels and all the charging information available in the EcoFlow app on my phone. In addition to the EcoFlow panels, I had two solar panels purchased from a competitor on the second solar input (that also required an Andersen to XT60 cable, but I was prepared for that). This greatly sped up the process of getting the battery to 100%. With a fully charged battery and all the necessary cables packed into our camper van, my wife and I were able to test the battery and AC combination. My hope was that the Delta 2 Max would be able to power the AC for two nights in Eco Mode without a recharge, but at the end of the first night, only 20% of the battery capacity was left. Admittedly, it was very hot and humid (80+ degrees at night with 90%+ humidity), and I think under less harsh conditions my two night goal can be achieved. The Delta 2 battery has enough power outlets to run everything I can fit in my van. I look forward to having this battery along on my camping trips for the next several years. If I do have to up the capacity, it's easy enough to add an extra battery. I just have to remember to order the proprietary cable to go with it.
Delta 2 Max Pressed Into Service Unexpectedly
I had just received my Delta 2 Max (D2M) a week before we had an unexpected and unexplained power outage. It was right at dinner time as food was going into the oven. Fortunately I had the D2M at the ready and routed a 20-amp power cord from the D2M to my transfer switch. We were able to run the 1700 watt toaster oven for approximately 45 minutes along with lights, computer, a refrigerator, and a freezer. This drained the battery in the D2M to about 30%. I had also recently purchased the EcoFlow Dual Fuel Smart Generator (DFSG) and hooked it up to the D2M to give it a test, too. It came on right at the 30% mark I had set in the EcoFlow app. It took about an hour to charge the battery with propane. The generator then shut itself off automatically when the battery was fully charged. Dinner was served and power eventually came back on a few hours later. Both the D2M and the DFSG performed as expected with no problems. I highly recommend this set up. Before I would have to run my gasoline generator continuously during an outage. Even though it has an ECO mode, it would still burn 3-4 gallons per day. With the DFSG and a Smart Extra Battery (SEB) I will likely only need to run the generator 2-3 hours per day, and that can be reduced with solar panels. NOTE: I prepared for this EcoFlow setup by drilling a hole in my exterior wall. This allows me to keep the D2M and SEB inside but connect them to the generator, transfer switch, and solar panels outside. The PVC conduit has caps when not in use.
I am ready for a storm now.
I have the Delta 2 Max and 2 extra batteries. I really like the options in the app from being able to limit charge rate and AC always on, and much more. One extra battery fits nicely on top of the Delta 2 Max, but the Dela 2 Max does not fit snug on an extra battery, I wish it did. Overall I recommend. It does not take the place of a true UPS, but I already had a UPS anyway. My only complaint so far is one of the extra batteries came with a bad display, but I guess I'll keep it. I don't want the hassle of a return and I use the app anyway.
Awesome Product
I recently received this product and am excited by the performance and ease. It was easy to charge various items while simultaneously charging via solar panels. I plan to use this for several outdoor excursions as well as at home.
Awesome portable power
I bought this generator because I have a RV and I plan on living off the grid and this supports power to everything I need to and I’m very happy with the product
