It isn’t as heavy as you would expect given its size, but the metal and plastic shell does at least have a durable feel to it. It works well, and I had no issues charging batteries with it. My only complaint so far is the instructions, which are frustratingly small and hard to read. Would adding one more page hurt that much?

However, I was able to check my alternator and it was easy to check. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure you read the instructions. There are two sets of instructions to charge a battery. One is for the battery when it's in the vehicle and another for a battery outside the vehicle. To charge the battery outside of the vehicle, you may need to buy an adapter that does not come with it.

It does charge a battery but it also can recondition an old battery, can be used as a jump box and tests your alternator. The wheels make it easy to move around the garage but it doesn’t weigh much so it is very portable without the wheels. It has built in protection of a reverse charge in case the wires are connected backwards!! Overall much more than I was expecting!! Great product!!
