[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was easy to assemble and compact which saves space in your garage. It's easy to roll around. I didn't have a dead battery to charge or jump. However, I was able to check my alternator and it was easy to check. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure you read the instructions. There are two sets of instructions to charge a battery. One is for the battery when it's in the vehicle and another for a battery outside the vehicle. To charge the battery outside of the vehicle, you may need to buy an adapter that does not come with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Stanley FatMax because of the charging function and what I thought was a trickle charge function. It turns out it is not a trickle charger but, in my humble opinion, it has a better function, the maintainer. Instead of a trickle charger providing low charging current to prevent overcharging the maintainer charges as needed to keep the battery full and then switches to standby mode until the battery again needs charging. I have a vehicle in storage so this function is so helpful. The battery in the storage vehicle was fully depleted but the FatMax 200 amp engine starter wasn't powerful enough to jump start it. If I had wanted to wait I could have hooked it up and it would have slowly charged the battery and eventually started but I didn't have time to wait. Once I got the vehicle started, the maintainer has kept the battery fully charged. The alternator check is also a really nice function and easy to use. I have not needed to use the reconditioner. The entire system is easy to use, intuitive, and convenient. I appreciate the 6 ft long cord but wish it was 10'. The Stanley FatMax is a great and convenient battery charger that I highly recommend.

I love how versatile this is, charge batteries, check voltage, repair old batteries..etc. The interface is easy to use. The safety features are amazing but I think what I liked the most is that it's more compact and lightweight than others and it has a handle and wheels which makes it portability top notch. I'd highly recommend this product and brand.
