The fittings on the lead hose(reel to spigot) came off the hose on my first use. Otherwise I love it. Could also use a spin stop to prevent unintentional uncoiling.

I bought this cart because it was $30 cheaper than other comparable carts. I wish i had looked into it more carefully. It is alright for its purpose; however, it is not easy to use. I suspect that if I had a hose shorter than 110 feet, i would just pull the hose over the yard without using the cart. NOTE: if you use this cart, you will still have to pull your hose from near the faucet to where you want to use it, then reel it back in - or leave the hose unrolled so you can water the same area the next time. I honestly thought I would be able to roll the cart to my garden, use the hose there, and roll the cart back to the faucet. (Duh) The only time the cart will be used to move the hose is in the Spring and late Fall to move it from and to storage. As another reviewer said, it is a wrestling match to wind up the hose, mostly because of the lack of a reel lock - when I reel in a few turns and stop, the hose unreels almost the entire length, making me have to do double the work; also the wheels don't lock, meaning that I not only have to reel in the hose and hold it in place, i also have to keep the cart from rocking too much.

Got this home, put together in minutes. However spent 1 hour trying to keep it leaking where it attaches to your garden hose. I finally got it to a small drip( alternative being, waste 40 minute round trip to return). But if it's brand new and leaks I can only imaging next season.

I can't compare to the older version of the hose reel that some refer too, but the model I bought in 2024 seems to be the best value for price for me. It was easy to put together, tires won't need replaced, rolls easy, hose (about 75 feet of thick round hose) rolls up without much effort for this x-tra small adult, basket is handy for extras, and more. Sam's had this in stock at my local store, and I prefer picking up local vs having it shipped. Mine does not leak. I don't know if rust will be an issue later on, but I plan on keeping it in a shed with door when not in use. Even a covered porch would be better than just leaving it out in the elements. It's easy enough to roll where needed. The plastic hose reel ones I've had in the past might have looked a little nicer, but the plastic center would collapse under the weight of my heavy-duty hoses even though I drained the water out after using. I definitely expect this one to last five to ten years--much longer than I've gotten out of those plastic ones.

I had high expectations for this hose cart from Sam's Club. I purchased it in April and it's now October - and showing significant signs of RUST in multiple locations after less than 6 months outdoors. Completely unacceptable. Based on Sam's return policy, I intend to return for a full refund. No interest in getting this again - as it won't last more than a few seasons.
