Excellent quality, NO RUST after 3 years use!

We bought two of these Garden Hose Reel carts from Sam's Club three years ago. They work great! Very well built for the price point. Curt's review says they will rust, well DUH! Eventually, everything made of steel will rust! But here's what I can tell you; after three years of being outside (year-round} in Eastern Colorado's scorching sun, driving rain, golf-ball size hail storms, and 40mph plus blizzards, ours Hose Reel carts have NO RUST. I just bought two more for my rental property. I have one recommendation, if you have "goat head stickers" in your area like we do, put that green tire "slime" in all four tire tubes when you assemble the cart. I did that when I put them together and did not have a flat tire. I highly recommend this product.

Have to Return/Feeder Hose Gets Twisted

This was easy to put together but sadly I have to return it. When I turn the crank handle to unreel or reel in the hose, the feeder hose to the spigot also turns and gets all twisted up. There should be a way for the connection on the cart where you connect the feeder hose to your spigot to not turn when you have to turn the drum to unreel the hose. The only way to prevent this from happening is to unreel the hose without the connector hose attached to the spigot and then once you have the hose all unreeled, you can connect the feeder hose to the spigot but this defeats the purpose of having it on the reel in the first place.

It had 2 good years

It was perfect the first 2 seasons and I loved it. The next season the handle broke off, but I could still use it. Then the part the connecting hose goes into broke off. It could probably be fixed if I knew what that part was called, but I'm so frustrated that I'm trying to find something better now. The tires and structure are still perfect, but it's useless without these small parts.

Better than the one I left in our former home

Assembled easily; heavy weight to it

Garden hose cart

Compared to the one Sam's used to carry this one is cheaply made and more costly.

Rust Problem

Rust issue should be addressed. Last two have rusted terribly despite being stored indoors. Otherwise a nice product.

Made Wrong

The handle is supposed to be bolted to the shaft. On the one I bought, the hole was drilled 90 degrees to where it was supposed to be. Don't buy if unwilling to drill the missing holes in the metal shaft.

Rust bucket

This seemed like a good deal, but I learned why it isn't. The first one I bought began rusting within the first three months I owned it. I got it replaced, but the replacement rusted out the same way. This is useless.

Rusts too easily and then leaks

The hose reel is about 2 years old and leaks badly. The part to repair it costs about half the price of a new cart. Worst one that I ever purchased. Sams use to sell better hose reel carts.
