These walnuts are cleaned and halved. They taste fresh and chop up easily. We like them fresh and also like the oven toasted to bring out even more flavor. The walnuts bake up in my recipes tasty and delicious.

Another good source of excellent walnuts, which I eat as a snack and include in my salads along with pistachios. And the price is right! I keep them in an airtight bin to keep them fresh. And they share the high amount of monounsaturated, healthy fats that help reduce cholesterol and fatty plaques. Very good for heart health among other things! Can't recommend them highly enough! They come fresh and unsalted which makes them much healthier.

To me, Diamond has the best flavor. Over the years some other brands have had an old fishy taste caused by oxidized walnut oils. Other causes could be when the walnuts are old and not stored airtight. Eating 1 oz. of walnuts at night helps us sleep better, boosting melatonin. Diamond will not have a bitter taste in baking, just a smooth buttery walnut flavor. It took me a few years to find a good tasting walnut. Diamond is the best for me, not fishy.

These walnuts are wonderful. They are a tremendous value. The price point is exceptional. Even though the price is the best you can find, the taste doesn't disappoint. The quality is as good as anything I can find regardless of price. (sometimes it helps to shop around -- you never know what you will find). Nuts, in general, are loaded with much nutrition. That being said, walnuts are probably the most nutritious nut you can find. You can add these nuts to so many things to enhance the taste and nutritive value of whatever you put into your money.

I have become a brand fan. Their walnuts (and pecans) are delicious. Crunxhy, crisp bites, never stale. Full sizes, rarely any broken bits. Practically zero narural dust at bottom of the package. l'm a repeat customer. l did valso give their competitor (the blue bag brand) a try, and found Diamond to be the superior walnut (and especially in their pecan quality).
