Love it

Love my new dryer. My old LG was slowly dying and taking forever to dry. This new one is quick and efficient. I like the fact that I do not have to fill a container anymore with water for the steam feature, which I use a lot. Having it able to connect to the LG App is really convenient. I also like the duo door which is convenient for loading and unloading. Overall very happy and no complaints. My previous dryer lasted 14 years so I'm hoping this one does too.

Nice Dryer

Dryer works fine but I had to have their repairman come out and see why I kept getting a duct blockage warning. There was no blockage and he had to reprogram the sensor.

top is slanted

SO far works well, there is a design flaw, it has a slanted top, who puts a slanted top on a dryer. The clothes basket wont stay on it, clothes that are folded slide off. This is crazy, has the designer ever done laundry ?

Design Flaw Snagging and Twisting Laundry

There is a design flaw where the channel and gap between the lint filter housing and the drum housing can snag edges of your laundry as it spins around inside the dryer. This has nothing to do with the lint filter being dirty or not seated fully. In fact, it has nothing to do with the lint filter. The design flaw is the channel and gap between the lint filter HOUSING and the dryer's drum housing snagging laundry. This does not happen with all loads, but happens consistently and regularly enough to be a design flaw issue, warranty case, and/or lemon case.

Horrible appliance

Stay away. Known manufacturing defect, yet LG still sells it. Don’t be fooled into buying this so-called high-end appliance. Not worth the headache. Will ruin your clothes- twists them up between the lint catcher and drum. So many of my clothes have been ruined and LG’s resolution team refused to call me back- I’ve been waiting for 5 weeks. Where are you?

Terrible

I purchased this set 4 weeks ago, dryer ruins clothes, everything gets caught and twisted, LG sent out a repair man that replaced the “design flaw” near the lint filter. It still catches and twists everything, not to mention my clothes are never fully dry even after 60 min on high. The washer twist and wraps everything together. I am very unhappy with this purchase. My friend bought the same set and is having the same problem. Why are you still selling this set with a known design problem? These aren’t cheap.

Hi. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG DLGX8601BE Dryer, and we want you to feel confident that we’re here to support you. We hear how the twisting, snagging, and incomplete drying have affected your laundry routine, and your detailed feedback helps highlight the areas that may need attention. When clothing gets caught or damaged near the lint filter area, checking that the filter is fully seated, the housing is clear of debris, and the drum is rotating smoothly can help reduce fabric catching. For damp loads, confirming the venting path is clear, the load size allows for good tumbling, and selecting a sensor‑dry cycle aligned with the fabric type can improve results. Our guide walks through the key steps to prevent damage and improve drying performance: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-clothes-are-damaged--20154720307749 If you’d like us to take a closer look at your unit or explore next steps together, feel free to email us at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. Ruining clothing

This dryer has a design flaw that causes clothing with drawstrings and/or clothing made of thin material to be ruined. The drying includes a plastic housing that holds the lint filter. There is a gap between this housing and the rest of the dryer. Frequently, drawstrings or thinner materials will get caught in this gap. Meanwhile, the rest of the garment is getting spun around by the other clothing. In the short time we have owned this dryer, we have had several drawstrings ripped off and other clothing items ruined due to being stretched out or ripped. The only solution seems to be to put all clothing in mesh bags, which is ridiculous for a dryer this expensive. LG needs to redesign this housing. To do right by its customers, LG should offer a fix for customers who already purchased the machine.

Hello, Benjamin. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG DLEX8600BE Dryer. We appreciate you letting us know how the lint filter housing has affected your laundry items, and we understand how important it is for the drum and filter area to handle delicate fabrics and drawstrings without causing damage. Clothing getting caught near the lint filter can happen when lightweight items move toward the front of the drum, and using mesh bags for items with straps or strings can help protect them while drying. Worst Dryer Ever

Apparently there is a known issue where a gap between the lint filter and drum catches clothes (mostly draw strings) and ruins whatever clothes get caught. We have had this dryer for 1 month and it has already ruined multiple pieces of clothing.

Dryer Eats Clothes

I purchased this dryer 2 weeks ago. Every load I dry some article of clothing gets stuck in-between the lint filter area and the drum. You name it, socks, undies, shirts, even sheets! The company I bought it from has been here to try and adjust the filter but it didn't help.
