Purchased 22KW Unit in Jul 2016. Installation instruction were excellent. The unit has furnished power during two outages since installed and operated flawlessly. I would recommend this unit to anyone who, like me, lives in a rural area where frequent loss of power is likely. CLM, Vanceboro, NC

We used to shudder when a storm was coming because we "knew" we would lose our electric. It was not if we would lose our electric, but would worry about how long it would be out? Could be hours to days. We can now relax since we know that within seconds our entire house will have electric with the Generac whole house generator.

We had our unit installed several weeks ago and had a local failure of someone hitting a trnasmission pole. The unit went on immediately and ran continuously until service was restored. I was very impressed in that not even our automatic light timers were affected.

Prior to this generator I had a carrier 42KW. You would think a larger generator would be a lot louder but you would be wrong. This generator so far has service the Basic needs at 22kW. I built my new home directly across the street from my old residence. When power went out the generator was so loud it woke me up. I went outside to see if I could hear the old generator running. I literally had to walk across the street up to about 20 feet from the home before I could hear the old generator running over the new one. I guess when your power goes out you don't mind the noise. It would be a huge improvement if they could insulate their generator better to reduce noise.

Installed fairly easily, used an electrician to connect wiring. Ran well in test. Runs every 2 weeks in automatic mode. After reading past reviews, hope it holds up for a while. Came with 49 hours on the meter, now has 51 hours on meter. Guess we'll see.

Installed April 2017 right next to service entrance. Looks very nice and reassuring. My wife and I feel a weight lifted. No more 20 below January nights yanking on a pull-cord with stiff oil in the pan. First power outage came this June, in 45 seconds we had power and there was no hint when the power came back and the generator turned off. We have the 22kw standalone. One thing to remember. The generator comes set for a delay start up time of only 5 seconds. Every little power hit or sag will have the generator starting and stopping. Only your approved service installer can change that time. We had ours changed to 30 seconds. No only real power failures turn the generator on. Comes on every Saturday morning for 10 minutes. Connected to its own 500 gallon propane tank. Worth every cent at 73 years old. Save a lot of money the closer to your service entrance you can get. Buy the biggest generator you can afford, I suggest the biggest.

This is my first whole house generator. The first night after the install it came on twice through the night for about 10 minutes each time. So, it did its job by starting and operating. However, since then we have not had a power outage so hard to give a good review on this particular unit. However, my mother and father (God bless and rest there souls) had one for several years as my dad was bed ridden on an air mattress that needed to be inflated at all times. The generator worked perfectly for them coming on when needed and shutting down when not and I'm expecting mine to do the same. I thought my parents generator could have been a bit quieter but other than that it worked great. I would recommend this brand from my experience.........

Went through through hurricane Matthew in Fort Pierce Fl power went out when the wind's got to around 60 mph, We were without power for almost 4 day's. The Generac cane on did it's job without a hitch. The gas company came on day 6 and filled my tank it is a 250 gal and it only took 50 gal of propane i was surprised, I should have done it sooner, my big gas one would have taken way more good job Gererac. Customer for life.

I can only respond to the monthly start-ups and the comfort of having it in place for outages. I have not needed for any amount of time yet and can only hope it stands up to its first test under fire ;) The remote access / smart phone option should be standard equipment...its 2017..someelse will beat you to the punch and steal some of your business, you need to stay on top! The 22kw carried the entire house. When we had it installed we ran the test and lit up the whole house and then ran the 220 submersible well pump and electric clothes dryer. The wife was very impressed. Although since the installation test we haven't had to run it under load, yet it does run itself weekly. I feel very confident knowing it is there and ready should the utility fail.
