Within 6 months of installation we had a 2 day power out event, so the peace of mind was worth it, since it was at our 2nd home and we were not there.

Haven't lost house power since the Generac was installed so don't have any actual use data as yet. Weekly test firings have occurred and seem normal.

We have 1 year with the machine and we think is fantastic. Price and noise are bit high but is a good investment. We implemented a noise isolated room with air extractors and fans, and the final result is great!

Adding this back up generator system to our retirement home gives of great piece of mind whether we are home or out of town. We know that it will keep our home powered up due to storm, outage or whatever the cause and our food, heat, cooling, and essential devices will have power. We are now older and this investment means we will have everything we need power wise no matter the situation. All automated and worry free.

At this point, my review can only address the installer and the installation of the generator. We've not had a power outage since its installation, and frankly I hope we never have to use it. It's an insurance policy against what has happened all too often causing distress over not having water (well pump) and the potential loss of food in 4 freezers & 5 refrigerators and the further annoyance of not being able to turn on the TV & see the news. Expensive insurance - Yes, but it's comforting to know that when (not if) the power goes, our Generac will come alive!

After 6 months of operation it appears this product is very well put together. It has never failed on any power outages or weekly exercises. I like the quietness of operation and the seamless transfer from utility power to emergency. The only problem that I have with this product is the fact that I cannot enter the length of exercise time. In the winter, I would prefer to exercise the run time longer than 10 minutes. I would prefer to run test exercise at least 20 minutes. As owner I should have the ability to control my own exercise time.

We moved to NC into an area where there are not that many power outages, but having lived through hurricane Sandy and no power for 6 days, we wanted peace of mind for when and if there are some. About 3 months after moving into our new home with generator, there was construction work being done that caused us to lose power. We were it would be back in a couple of hours, 6 hours later, our Generac was humming along nicely. I have read where some owners have had problems during outages. I asked the local dealer about this and they indicated that many don't do the required initial oil change. We are going on close to a year and the generator does its test run without issue.

The Unit Has All Works Just Like Promised. Every Week Is Goes Into It's Test Phase. Runs About Ten Minutes. Then Cuts Off. Shows On The Controls If Any Thing Is Not Going Right. I Strongly Suggest If You Live In A Storm Pron Area That You Get One Of These. I Have The Generac 22KW. I Can run My Whole 23,000 Sq Foot. House Pulse Part Of The House Next To Me. If You Have Propane Or Natural Gas This Is The Way To Go. (Gas Stations Run Out Of Gas Fast And Are Vary Hard To Get Gas To Them. when you get A Heavy Storm.)

The 22KW Genny seems to be fine, but it's too soon to tell. The vendor I bought it from did a great job in getting it to me, at a very good price. The computer works very well, and is exercising the unit every week at the right time, and the right term. I won't be able to tell about full functionality and LP gas usage, probably till hurricane season, in June, when we will probably get a full power outage! The ATS works well, too, during testing!

In planning our new house, we knew we wanted a natural gas generator since we have somewhat frequent power outages in our area. It has been such a relief having our Generac. The way we had it configured, it's almost like there is no power outage when it happens. It's worked wonderfully so far and we're thrilled with it's performance.
