Lived off of the generator 6 times within the first year

In the first year after installing this generator, I had to use it 6 times. Once during the El Dorado Fire (gender reveal fire). It was 110 degrees out and someone set off explosives in a field nearby which ended up burning our mountain community for over a week. During that time there was no power from the grid. My generator kicked in and provided power for me, enough to keep all of the refrigerators running, A/C, well pump and TV. I don't know what I would have done without it, as it was over 100 degrees out and I couldn't open any windows due to extreme amounts of smoke from the nearby fire. I also rely on electricity to pump water in the house from the well. I was able to use all of my appliances. This generator has been a wise investment for me.

This product has blown my mind. I can now sleep without any disruption.

The contractor that installed instructed me on the installation, use and knowledge of this equiptment. I can now have a piece of mind knowing that the generac generator will kick in when power goes off. Also no gasoline just natural gas which relieves me of much work. My neighbors are very interested and are impressed with ease of the generatot.

Reliable and Dependable - A Must for any rural home/farm/business

This is the 3rd generator that we have purchased. When you live in a rural area with a farm, keeping water, lights, etc. is extremely important. With each relocation over the last 20 years, we are insistent that a Generac generator be installed. We depend on being able to continue 'as normal' in all conditions. The generator has really been a great selling point for previous homes as well.

Installation Diffacult

The unit comes mostly intact but finding someone to install it is a major headache. called multiple Dealers only a 2 called back and when we said we had already bought the unit they weren't interested in just the installation. We found a friend whose an electrician to do the electrical and had to switch propane suppliers to get the fuel hooked up. it runs well but requires alot of outside work to get it installed.

Went to work right away

Unit was installed on a Wednesday. Runs on LP. Had a monster storm on the following Monday. Lost power for eighteen hours. Generator kicked right in and we didn't lose a second of power. Amazing. Ran smoothly and quietly the entire time without one hiccup and only used about 10 gallons of LP. So glad we had the unit; well worth the purchase.

Dissatisfied

It is hard to review a product that was installed on April 4, 2023 and still not operational. There have been multiple delays (installation, correcting gas line, failing electrical inspection and a faulty part). In addition, they get in no hurry to address these problems with 2 to 3 weeks in between each issue. 2 1/2 months later we have what is essentially a very expensive lawn ornament. I am hoping that we might have a working generator by no later than fall at this rate. Very frustrated and completely unsatisfied with not only Generac themselves, but their approved installer as well

Excellent Product!

1n 2014 I purchased a Generac 10Kw standby generator for our home, never thinking I would be using it so often. As it ran flawlessly, I decided I wanted another 10Kw for my garage/workshop that also contains 3 freezers. The 10Kw is a bit of overkill for this current usage however, it is backup in the event of the 1st generator failure or storm damage to our house preventing us from using it. As backup, it would provide power for both that garage/shop and a travel trailer. "Don't be scared; Be Prepared" is one of our mottoes. I am confident that this generator will survive the test of time. I tell Everyone that this is exactly what they need.

Last thing I have to worry about

Since my husband passed away, there are so many things that I have to take care of or worry about. I would often worry about what I would do if the power went out. Since I live on a small farm, I need to be able to care for my animals. I did have a portable generator but I could never pull start it. And there was not an option to put on an electric start. Plus if I could get it started, then I would have to run extension cords to power things like the refrigerator or freezer or pellet stove for heat in the winter. I still couldn’t run my well pump to water my animals. So I decided to have a whole home generator installed. It was the best decision that I made. Now when the power goes out, I don’t worry about having to pull start a generator or what appliances to plug in or how long is the power going to be out for. It’s actually the last thing I worry about. Having the whole home generator gives me peace of mind. I LOVE it and would recommend it to anyone.

Guardian Generator

My husband and I recently had the 22K Guardian home backup generator installed and we are extremely pleased with it and the dealer that installed it was very professional with us from the time we contacted him until the installation was complete. The peace of mind is worth every penny.
