The generator installation was just finished, the installer did a great job but I had already contracted with him not knowing he was not on Generacs 'list'. So, unfortunately, I did not get the Generac 'special' $895 7-year warranty. I am very disappointed with Generac in that respect but the generator should provide me with piece of mind for years to come.

I bought this product about 10 years ago after a particularly severe storm knocked out power for two weeks in my area. Since then, in the thousands of hours when I did not need it, it seemed to work perfectly. During the three periods when I did needed it, it did not work at all. During one storm, with a 10 day power outage, I was able to remove the oil pressure sensor and put in a plug and I was able to get the machine going and it worked OK. Without someone making that suggestion, I would've been out of luck. Service was impossible during that period.without me jerry-rigging a repair in a snowstorm. Service in my area is very difficult, delay of two weeks defeats the purpose of the generator completely. I would not buy this generator again.

Seams to be a good item, however support stinks. I tried to download manual and spent over half an hour searching for it and came up with nothing. Tried by serial number and by model number. If you want to see complicated, go to Generac web site Do not bother to try to register the generator. Tried to, and after over an hour seeing Processing Please Wait on the screen I gave up

I installed the generator and transfer switch myself last summer. The installation instructions and registration requirements were clear and straight forward and installation went well. The generator worked perfectly during several small storms in 2020 and ran continuously for 5 days during the 2021 Texas Deep Freeze. After the storm I checked the oil and it was still full even after the extended run time. I changed the oil myself and the design of the oil drain makes it easy and clean. There must be a group of bright and practical people in the design and manufacturing departments that make good products like this possible. Please keep making these generators in the USA and do not fall into the Made in China cheap junk cesspool.

I am very pleased with the generator and it's features. The unit came with the transfer switch and the whole package provides a neat and tidy installation. The only issue I have with the overall product is the smart management modules that were installed to shed loads when the generator starts up. They have a buzz that gets louder as time passes. At first the buzz was tolerable, but it gets too loud as time goes by.

Got my whole-house Generac installed on a Wednesday; everyone I dealt with was MOST professional & knowledgeable. On the following Saturday we experienced a power outage due to windstorms. My Generac came on seconds after the power went out & ran flawlessly for 9 hours when power was restored!! One of the BEST purchases I’ve ever made; thank you for such a useful product!!

From the estimate to the conclusion of installation, this project was excellent. Mr. Buchanan gave us a very reasonable estimate for the size and quality of the generator installed. The men who installed the generator, set-up and wi-fi connection did a terrific job, were very pleasant, cleaned up nicely, helped me connect my phone to the Mobil Link app. We couldn't have asked for a better team. Very impressed with our new unit. We bought a Generac for peace of mind. We live in the woods and power outages are the norm. Now we do not have to worry. I love the look of the Generac, it blends into the house so it does not stand out too much. And it is relatively quiet. Very happy

We recently had APG Solar install this back up generator. Our electricity has gone off twice since it was installed. Both times it came on and performed well. Without the generator, when our electricity is off we do not have water. We had the generator by Mother's day when we had company. Our electricity went off, the generator came on and saved the day. This is great peace of mind for us. APG Solar in Atwater, CA did a great job with our project, the installers were helpful and pleasant to work with.
