We were having numerous power outages and with my wife using medical equipment through the night. I would have to get up and start up my portable generator. The installation went rather smoothly with the contractor we had install it. We have during twice during outages. We couldn't even feel the transition of power. It is a great comfort just to know that it is there and ready for any catastrophe. We choose to go with the new 22's unit.

This is our second generac generator. We had one in Texas and now live in Colorado. Last year before we installed our generator, I was home by myself for 54 hours in a huge snowstorm with no power. We live in a rural area and when outages occur, it takes some time for the local coop to find the problem and provide repairs. I am Oxygen dependent, on O2 24/7, with limited bottle supply and for the portable concentrator, limited battery time. The 22 KW Generac Guardian provides me with a greater peace of mind during storms and winter time. Have been using a portable unit to run extension cords into the house from the garage, but that is not the best solution due to exhaust fumes. After dealing with major hurricanes and electric company outages, we finally purchased our Generac Guardian Series WiFi enabled 22kW whole house generator with Automatic Transfer Switch. We could not be happier, since it runs on propane and is automatic. We no longer have to deal with our portable generator, which was good, but such a hassle. No more need to drag out our 15kW portable generator from the garage, chain it down, then continually fill it with diesel fuel, if you can find it. Once that was done we had to run multiple extension cords from the generator to all over the house. When up and running our 15kW was very loud and couldn't power our either of our large central air conditioners.

After many power outages in 2020 we decided to purchase a generator. We chose Metro Electric to install it because they had the best presentation. It was installed on May 26, 2021. It was a rainy day but the electrician and plumber had tent coverings so they could proceed as planned. When they came into the house they had foot coverings so as not to track in any dirt. We felt they were very professional and knowledgeable. When the electrician was done, he came in to explain the Operating and Maintenance Binder. It said our generator would come on every Wednesday at 12 p.m. and on 6-2-21 it came on at 12 p.m. And on 6-9-21 we had a very short power outage in the morning and the generator immediately came on and then again at 12p.m. We are very pleased with the installation and especially the power outage start. That was great evidence that our system was working.

Bought the generator set for reliable power during utility loss. We live in a coastal area with tropical storms and hurricanes. This generator will ensure we have power after storms. Just had it installed and hopefully will not need it too often. Great product for the money.
