The paddle mixer doesn't reach half of the stuff on the side or the bottom of the bowl and the bowl is so close to the head of the mixer that it's virtually impossible to try to use a spatula to help it along

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Love the black. Looks great on my counter and that makes it handy to use often. Besides making cakes and frosting, have also used to mix a meat loaf, meatballs, cinnamon raisin sourdough bread, and shred chicken. Oh and whipped mashed potatoes. Nice to put the bowls and paddles and dough hook in the dishwasher for easy cleanup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality just isn't there anymore. I had my fist kitchen aid 25 years ago and it's amazing. My husband got me a new one for the color, which I love the blue velvet color but the quality stinks. The motor is spotty, & inconsistent. The bowl is not as deep as my original even though it's 1/2 quart larger, and flings stuff out of the bowl. The paddle doesn't fit right and doesn't get the bottom. I'm just not happy with it. I'm probably going to pull my old one back out. Thankfully I didn't get rid of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous KitchenAid Mixer was a Professional 5 Plus and it was a disappointment. The motor seemed to struggle when it was kneading a single load of bread and the whip attachment didn't whip egg whites well at all. But far more disappointing was the fact that the powder coating on the attachments started to chip off. This was NOT the mixer that the family relied on previously; my mom swore by KitchenAid and her unit was a real workhorse. So, I really expected to move to another brand based on my disappointment with the unit I had purchased. However, this new model that I has considerably improved my opinion of KitchenAid. It works smoothly when kneading bread and the smaller bowl and whip works very well with any small amount of fluid, including egg whites. The motor seems to be more heavy duty than what was installed in my previous mixer. So far, I am very pleased with this unit. Time will tell.

The bowl lift design is so nice because I can leave the mixer where it sits under the cabinets while I use it instead of having to pull it out to tilt the head back. I've had other brands of stand mixers but nothing compares to KitchenAid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 30 plus year old Mixer that works perfectly but has gotten tired. My new stand mixer is egually as good. However I have kept the old mixer because the attachments for the new stand mixer are absolute crap. The new stainless steel cheese grader, slicer, etc four piece set is a total waste of money. I have returned 2 set back for a full refund which I received. They jam, clog, and make task i9mpossible to accomplish. The same is true for the meat grinder attachment. They are of an inferior design. I continue to be a big fan of the Kitchen Aid Mixer but will continue to search for better attachments. Mike D

I wanted this beautiful mineral water blue one forever. Finally saved and bought it. Get it home %26 all ready tp make something. Yep ot won't even turn on. Check different outlets %26 nothing. Return it to Sam's. They swear they've had no complaints. Get another one. That evening I try again. Same thing!! No power!! Heart broken to say the least. Can i possible have the only 2 that didn't work? Do I even want to try this again? Decided to call Kitchenaid. 1st person i talk to tells me that the mineral water blue is a Sams exclusive. After checking on line Kitchenaid does offer the color I want!! Call back and they sent me a replacement. 3rd time was the charm!! I have put in overtime on this mixer.

My mother has have a mixer for 10 years and never had issue with it, I buy a new model and it's horrible. Do better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm honestly surprised at how loud the motor is and how quickly is gets hot when mixing bread dough according to the instructions. I think the unit is beautiful and it works well in other aspects, but it doesn't tolerate bread dough as well as my old one.

Negative stars! Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing because the same thing happened to me. First one we bought died after one revolution. We returned it for an exchange second one did the exact same thing. This is not a cheap or easy item to lug back-and-forth to the store. Sam should not be selling this particular item given how many people have commented that their mixer died on arrival. It makes me lose trust in Sam's and the quality of their merchandise. Buyer beware!
