[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I inherited my mom’s Kitchen Aid Mixer about 25 years ago. I’ve used it for baking a few times but most recently have been using the grinding attachment to make dog food from scratch. Just before Christmas, my mom’s mixer finally came to a halt. I’d consider that 30-35 year life span was amazing considering my mom baked a lot during her 5-10 years with it on top of my 25 years. Fortunately, this happened just before Christmas so Sam’s club was having a sale on them. I haven’t done any baking with it yet but my new Mixer works great for grinding up the ingredients needed for my dog’s food. I’m hopeful that this one will last another 30 years!

I was so sad to discover the Hobart did not make the Kitchen Aid mixers any longer. I can definitely tell a difference. But so far it's working, I'm sure it's not going to last 51 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've honestly started cooking more since getting this mixer because it's so versatile, easy to use, easy to clean--not to mention the color gives it that extra something. It's very sturdy and and doesn't vibrate or sound like a lawnmower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mixer is amazing, it's big and very sturdy. I love how easy it is to use. And the different attachments make is easy to mix anything. The bowl can be raised and lowered to get the bottom of the bowl with ease.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Way too loud, beaters don’t reach bottom of bowl for good mixing. Returned it after 3 attempts to use it. I have had my Artisan model for 8 years and loved it until was worn and left with 2 speeds. the price to repair is astronomical.

I made some for the family for Christmas and they loved that I could make them again. So easy to use. I love it. Thanks to my Daughter for the great Christmas present.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this set to try. I have been a fan of KitchenAid mixers for some time and still am. I have inherited my mother's, mother-in-law's and with my own smaller model, this makes for my fourth unit. It is extremely durable and versatile. This unit is the Pro model, so it is larger with larger capacity bowl. It also came with a small bowl and its own small whisk for making small batches of frosting. The large capacity stainless steel bowl is just right for the larger batches of bread dough that I make. Attachements include dough hook, whisk, paddle and spatula. Can't have too many spatulas. The unit is lighter than my older, smaller model so it makes it easier to move around the kitchen and put away in a cupboard. The hub allows for several attachement add-on's and the pasta maker I already have will fit. These models come in a variety of colors, mine was a lighter blue. I am sure anyone can find a color to fit their decor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been happy with my purchase. The only thing I've seen that concerns me is when I used my dough hook to make some pizza dough. After my dough was ready and I went to take my dough hook off it dropped fine metal shavings in on my dough. Otherwise, the other attachments have worked as they should.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have for years wanted a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer and finally received this one. I’m so in love with this mixer already. This particular unit came with four beaters (Flat Beater, Spiral Dough Hook, Wire Whip and the 11-wire Stainless Steel Eliptical Beater), two stainless steel bowls (one large bowl with handle and one mid size bowl). Additionally, this unit came with a spatula with a slit in the end which makes cleaning the beaters easier. The beaters are easy to attach. Simply align the opening on the beater with the pin on the side of the beater bar, then rotate to secure. The bowls snap on and off easily by simply aligning the holes on each side of the bowl with the stainless pins and gently pressing down. You can feel when the bowls are properly snapped into place. Then, simply rotate the bar on the side of the unit to lower the beater into the bowl. (Please note the beaters will appear to be off-sided, but once the unit is placed in motion, the beaters will rotate all around the bowl.). The speed is easily controlled while the unit is running. Simply slide the knob on the left side of the unit to your desired speed. One feature that I noticed immediately is this unit is all stainless. It does not have any visible rubber seals or gaskets. I like this as you do not have to be concerned with the seals/gaskets becoming damaged or brittle from numerous washings. Kitchen Aid does recommend hand washing, though. Numerous other attachments are available for purchase if you are into making your own pasta, etc.). This unit is very heavy and the weight should be considered before giving to an older person. I absolutely love this mixer and can’t wait to use it more. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.
