Purchased this as an upgrade to my Kitchenaid that was 20+ years old. I LOVE this mixer. Also love the fact that it comes with a smaller bowl for little jobs. Very pleased with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wish I would have got the original Kitchenaide mixer. I don’t care for the lifted bowl you have to snap on the stand. I also don’t like the silver handle to lift the mixer. Wish I had the tilt mixer feature.

It's inconvenient to have to take the paddle and the bowl off every time that I need to scrape the bowl down. I don't like the way the machine sounds like a ufo however, I do like the capacity of which I can make my batters.

I decided to try my hand at baking a homemade cheesecake and then layer it in between two blue velvet cakes and this mixer got ita entire price tag worth of use in just my first adventure! I used pretty much every starting accessory that it came with and they all performed wonderfully! I love my mixer and can not wait to look into all the attachments that kitchenaid has to offer that will not only help me do better with baking but also with all the other cooking and catering that I do! It looks as though I'll be able to save so much time and money once I get a few attachments under my belt!

With 2x the power in the bowl than my old tilt head mixer, this bowl-lift version can mix even the toughest of ingredients with ease. The 3-point locking bowl provides stability for mixing heavy, dense ingredients, giving me complete control and precision over my baking. I love the 11 distinct speeds, including 1/2 speed, which allows me to adjust the speed according to my needs, no matter what I'm using the mixer for. The 5.5 quart capacity gives me plenty of space to cook or bake to my heart's desire. The attachments are incredibly easy to attach and detach, making it effortless to switch between tasks. Overall, I am incredibly happy with my KitchenAid 5.5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer. It is a true game-changer in my kitchen and has taken my culinary creations to the next level. I would highly recommend this mixer to anyone who loves to cook and bake.

I upgraded from a 20 yr old smaller KitchenAid mixer and am so glad that I did. The multiple bowls and attachments are a must as is the bigger size for all of the baking that I do. The ice cream maker works fabulous on it as well. Very happy with this purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to the 5.5qt bowl lift stand mixer from my previous tilt head mixer. This stand mixer has such a high capacity and more power that I wish I had upgraded before. I have started doubling most of my dough and cookie batches to keep some in the freezer for quick meals and snacks. The bowl lift is able to power through with twice the power without any wobble when kneading doughs. The mixer comes with the large 5.5qt bowl and a smaller 3qt bowl for smaller batches in a quality stainless steel that you expect from Kitchen Aid. This mixer is the workhorse of my kitchen and Looks elegant on my counters. If you bake a lot this is the stand mixer that is for you, and will keep up with anything you can throw at it.
