[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for the original that had a shrapnel that fell from the planetary but there’s something wrong with the arm lift on this replacement. It locks half way down so I have to put more pressure to lower it completely. Doing this repeatedly puts pressure on the plastic mechanism in it and eventually it break prematurely. The 3 quart bowl has small dents.

My whole family loves cooking and baking, and my husband is especially passionate about his culinary creations. We have all sorts of mixers and blenders but the trusty KitchenAid is always pulled out for the big work. The only issues I personally had with it was the weight and bulk, both of which made it all the more cumbersome to tilt lift the head to remove the bowl or add ingredients. So a couple days ago, my new matte blue beauty arrived in the mail and we were truly blown away. Aesthetically, let’s just say the Stand Mixer has made it to full time countertop space. The beautiful, matte powder blue body is classic and modern, and I swear it’s maybe a third of the weight of our old one. It’s streamlined and easy to move around. The fresh, sleek new look carries through to the stainless steel components as does the obviously increased performance and quality. Included with the mixer are another half sized mixing bowl and multiple attachments, along with a super cool spatula with a special groove for getting all the delicious stuff stuck on the whisks. The crowning achievement is absolutely the new Bowl-Lift technology that solves all of my problems and even allows my 4 and 6 year old budding chefs to join in safely and easily. With the 2 side by side, the differences are plain to see. The professional level output has twice the power so my amazing cook of a husband can go to town on everything from fresh masa dough to thick salsas to handmade pasta and everything in between. I am so excited for the kitchen memories my family and I will create together with the help of our new KitchenAid Stand Mixer.

As someone who loves to bake and cook, I depend greatly on my stand mixers for preparing large batches of doughs. This mixer is by far the best and most powerful I have yet to own, as it has 11 speeds to choose from, with half-speed options. The bowl is simple to secure and with 5.5 quart capacity, I never have issues with dough quantity in my home! This mixer comes with several attachments-- including a wire whip, large and small, dough hook, etc.. Operation is simple and flawless, and this unit is quiet and simple to clean. I adore the beautiful blue color, as it is classic and chic. Just such a wonderful addition to any bakers kitchen!

With 2x the power in the bowl than my old tilt head mixer, this bowl-lift version can mix even the toughest of ingredients with ease. The 3-point locking bowl provides stability for mixing heavy, dense ingredients, giving me complete control and precision over my baking. I love the 11 distinct speeds, including 1/2 speed, which allows me to adjust the speed according to my needs, no matter what I'm using the mixer for. I debated between a lift bowl and a lift mixer head for a bit because I've had both in the past and there are pros to both. In the end, this model is sturdier and can handle larger quantities of dough and mix. The engine feels more powerful than the smaller models as well.

It mostly dies what I bought it for, bread making.Seems a bit under powered though, frequently struggles while developing gluten. I do like the smaller bowl and whip.

This mixer is very well designed, it can do each and almost every task, required for baking and cooking. I am South Asian so we need flour dough everyday for flat bread and this machine is a life saver for me. It is provided with different attachments like flat beater, dough hook and wire whip. I am lucky, I got three more gifts with other attachments. I got one small steel bowl, one more beater and sturdy spatula as well. This mixer has a powerful motor, it can do heavy work within minutes. This mixer is easy to use; you can easily lift and lower the bowl. It has 10 different speed levels which makes it more convenient and customizable according to need. The mixer is definitely of very good quality, this will last longer and I guess it can be used for generations. Different attachments are also available separately which can easily be attached and perform many duties with this single appliance. It is a one machine army. I will definitely recommend this to all cooking and baking lovers. Must have appliances for every kitchen.

I no longer have flour clouds in my kitchen while I’m working. And most of the old attachments work with the new mixer. I couldn’t ask for a better appliance in my kitchen.
