This stand mixer has such a high capacity and more power that I wish I had upgraded before. I have started doubling most of my dough and cookie batches to keep some in the freezer for quick meals and snacks. The bowl lift is able to power through with twice the power without any wobble when kneading doughs. The mixer comes with the large 5.5qt bowl and a smaller 3qt bowl for smaller batches in a quality stainless steel that you expect from Kitchen Aid. This mixer is the workhorse of my kitchen and Looks elegant on my counters. If you bake a lot this is the stand mixer that is for you, and will keep up with anything you can throw at it.

This new mixer is just great and what I expected from Kitchenaid. Took a little getting use to the lift bowl type and still not sure I like it as well as the tilt head but it does a great job mixing with very little effort.

It comes with plenty of attachments to be able to make anything you can imagine. I found the lift feature to be pretty simple and helps with heavier batches. I make lots of cookies around the house but I also love to use my Kitchenaid mixer to shred chicken breast. It makes shredding a breeze and is super fast.

There are 11 different speeds which is great for all different kinds of recipes! I use this for making cookies, bread and pizza dough, mashed potatoes, etc and the 5.5 qt bowl enables me to make more in one batch! This one came with an extra 3 qt bowl and spatula, so that was an added bonus! This is such a timeless piece of kitchen equipment that I’ll have for years to come! It’s professional quality and the blue color looks great as an accent in my kitchen!

I debated between a lift bowl and a lift mixer head for a bit because I've had both in the past and there are pros to both. In the end, this model is sturdier and can handle larger quantities of dough and mix. The engine feels more powerful than the smaller models as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this set to try. I have been a fan of KitchenAid mixers for some time and still am. I have inherited my mother's, mother-in-law's and with my own smaller model, this makes for my fourth unit. It is extremely durable and versatile. This unit is the Pro model, so it is larger with larger capacity bowl. It also came with a small bowl and its own small whisk for making small batches of frosting. The large capacity stainless steel bowl is just right for the larger batches of bread dough that I make. Attachements include dough hook, whisk, paddle and spatula. Can't have too many spatulas. The unit is lighter than my older, smaller model so it makes it easier to move around the kitchen and put away in a cupboard. The hub allows for several attachement add-on's and the pasta maker I already have will fit. These models come in a variety of colors, mine was a lighter blue. I am sure anyone can find a color to fit their decor.

Handles heavy dough so much better than my old tilt-head mixer—no wobbling or struggling. I’ve really been putting it through its paces and it hasn’t missed a beat. The bowl-lift design feels super sturdy, and I like that I can make bigger batches without worrying about overloading it. If you bake a lot or deal with thick doughs, this thing is a beast.
