Really disappointed in this mixer. I set it up for the first time to make cookie dough. Two minutes into using it on the lowest speed it turned off and won't turn back on. After looking it up I found more people that have had this same issue. Wish I'd seen that before buying it.

Bought one as a gift on 11/26/2025. Turned on for 30 seconds and died. Returned and purchased another on 11/28/2025. Turned on for 30 seconds and died. Son and Daughter in-law now have to drive 3 hours to pick up the receipt to try and find a mixer without the speed control issue. KitchenAid ultimately has one job and failed. Won't recall an obvious speed control issue. Letting customers go through the process of diagnosing their manufacturing shortfall instead of being proactive to maintain their brand's good name... Optics indicate GREED. The expectation is simple, KitchenAid: I give you money, you give me a mixer that works. Not one good one in 3, 4 or 5 tries. To Sam's Club: Stop selling these defective units IMMEDIATELY. Return pallets of products back to KitchenAid. Your brand is being tarnished as well; silence is approval!

I'm about to first one excited to have my own KitchenAid but during the first time using it, it stopped working after a minute of it and use and didn't turn on again. we even troubleshooted it like it says in the manual and it didn't turn on. I then exchanged it for another one and it survived the first use. when we tried using it the second time, I turned the handle to lift the bowl up and it collapsed. I went back to get my refund to get the Tilt head one since this has shown it's not reliable. would not recommend to others.

I loved my old mixer, but needed to upgrade the size. During my first use of this mixer it quit and wouldn’t turn back on. I’ve finally got it to come back on after awhile and it has worked since then, but it was pretty disappointing because I thought this was a heavy duty one.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my nephew. He loved it and sent me a picture of his first food creation, a calzone, using the dough hook and as many accessories as possible. The calzone looked delicious. He told me that this KitchenAid Mixer was going to be his most used kitchen appliance and he plans to experiment with many different dishes.

This is the real thing. Whoever runs the kitchen workshop needs real professional level tools. In our case it is my wife. She has owned prize-winning restaurants, but never wanted to spend the money for the same quality tools she had in her restaurant kitchens. Christmas was the breakthrough moment. While baking something she just couldn’t any longer mix the heavy batter by hand. At last we finally out a kitchen aid mixer at home. The down side is now my wife wants me to get down to the shop and make a proper work table for it. It’s now part of our family. Fair warning

This is not the reliable stand mixer that earned the reputation of being the best. I bought one to replace the mixer that worked like a mule for the last 13 years because it was getting a bit tired. I brought it home, set it up, tested it, and all seemed well. I put my butter and sugar in it to cream for cookie dough, turned it on, it spun twice and the motor burned out...dead. Did some research and found out that Kitchenaid discontinued the 1.3 horse powerful mechanics in 2024 and replaced it with a weak 500 watt AC motor with plastic parts. Im returning the new one and sending my old one in for refurbishment. You can only get the good model refurbished. Im buying a spare refurbished unit because I use this tool every single day. So disappointed with Kitchenaid. I feel completely betrayed.

I sold my tilt 4.5 quart so I could buy this one because I need a little bigger bowl and I thought its the new design has to be better right ? nope worst purchase I have ever made, I hate using this thing, the handle to raise the bowl is very cheaply designed and not smooth at all, you have to take the mixing spatula out to remove the bowl. almost impossible to add ingredients without making a mess, I could go on and on.... This design makes using it so much more difficult and I really really hate using it, now I am stuck with a piece of junk when I had a perfectly good and awesome tilt head mixer that I got rid of because I believed all the hype about this piece of crap, seriously see no advantages to this at all, none, buyer beware. I have had this for 3 months and find myself using my hand mixer because I hate this thing so much....

I am very happy with my purchase. I do miss the head that tilts but it is fine. You just lower the bowl. All the extra accessories are so helpful! It is very heavy so if you are older it may be difficult to move without help. However the work it does is amazing!

Love the mixer, would recommend it to anyone but the 3 quart bowl and mini whisk were a fail as they rubbed really bad no matter how the hight adjustment was set, can't use them. Different attachment would be better or I just got a bad mini whisk or something.
