These are different in that you wear them similar to a clip on earing. They don't get "stuffed" in the ear so you don't get that pressure sensation there. As such, they don't block out sound, so plan on wearing them in a noisy setting such as a plane, car or where there are lots of people. They also won't block out the sounds of a treadmill even while in a private setting. But they may work on a trail or outdoors where you are on your own and need to hear traffic (other have said it works well here, but didn't get to test this out). Thats it on the bad. Sounds like a lot but thats not how they were intended, Now for that good.. As mentioned. They wear on the outside of ear and leave space between the canal / bud. These I can wear for far longer than ones that fit in the ear. Feel so much more relaxed. Conversations are easier to have. Other styles I would need to remove to clearly hear a person, these I can leave as is. Controlling your audio is more definitive. Others may have a sensor that if touched, removed, music may change or stop. I can unclip one and still hear playing in the other ear. The control is also more of a push button found on the barrel. use these for your standard controls, + swtich between audio sources, Music sounds crisp , clean and has setting for staying still, active, and a basic output. WIth the app. you can also modify the equilizers slightly. Speaking of. The app is different that the the previous one. I wasn't able to connect my other devices (as of yet). So wishing they would have just upgraded that app vs creating a new one. I would really give this a 4.5* for the issues I noted at beginning and with the app. Overall, its a solid product and would continue to reach for this primarily at my office desk setting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using these for a few weeks now and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I've tried several others and no matter what I do, they fall out of my ears. These stay put. Even when you are moving around (which I do while working, which is where I primarily use these earbuds.) Dancing, exercising, just whatever body movements you may be doing, these say in place. In addition to the stay put factor, the fact that these don't sit directly in the ear, they don't get dirty from ear wax, making sharing them a little more tolerable. (If that's something you do.) One other check in the Pro column is that, even though they are 'over the ear' earbuds, they do not interfere with eye glasses or headbands. This was something I was initially worried about when I was shopping for them since I do wear glasses. Another bonus with them not being inside the ear, is that you don't get that inner noise. For example, with in the ear buds I've used, I can hear the beat of my footsteps or that bass noise when chewing. Things that that. You don't get that with these. The Bluetooth range is pretty good. Really, the only thing that some may consider a Con about these is that they aren't noise cancelling, so if that is something you are looking for these may not be for you, but for personal safety reasons, that is not something I want in an earbud.

Good sound quality, They stay on your ear real well, I use them while biking and they don't fall off. Only took a day to get used to. These are open headphones so just remember, no sound cancelling and these aren't going to be the greatest for loud environments, but they are great for their normal use

I bought these 2 months ago and 14 days in a dropped them in a pile of beer. They still function- I love BOSE. Oh & yes they are great for running, wish they were a bit more snug bc I put the volume all the way up and it still sounds low but they are so much better than AirPods falling every other minute. Better than over the ear headphones & you can guess why. :) love it & know u will too MUAH

I purchased these when they first came out. My reason for doing so is that I needed earbuds that stay in when I run or cycle. Love the AirPods but they don’t stay put and I needed to keep adjusting them as I run or cycle. I can say for sure the Bose stay put and sound great. Unfortunately I can only give them a three stars because the connection to my Apple phone is unpredictable. I am running the latest firmware but receiving and making calls is almost always associated with disconnections between the devices. Rarely the connection is lost the only way to reset the earbuds is to place them in the case. Kinda hard to do when you are on a run several miles from the case left at home. Finally one feature that is missing that I wish it had, the earbuds are magnetic and stick to each other. It should be that if I remove them my ears and place them together it should turn them off or cause them to automatically disconnect from the device but they don’t. I want to Love them but I wish they worked as well as they sounded.

Desperately needs iteration, but the idea is good. The case is very bad. Flimsy lid that feels way to cheap for this price point. The earbuds are comfortable, but need another pass for perfection. Sound quality is very good. Feels like you're listening to music from the room around you. Refine these and drop the price and they will be a bit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These buds are the Cat’s Meow. They stay on when I’m working in the shop. I tried two different buds from a different mfg and I couldn’t them in my ears. The sound is terrific and yes I can hear my wife talking to me.

I've had these about a month now and for me they are great. Very comfortable, very good sound, pretty easy to use and setup. App could be better with less duplication and a bit more intuitiveness (that's me anyway). There are areas's that could be better are the cable: too short and should have been USB-C on both ends. I also have had a few times where only on bud worked or linked up and had to put back in the case and take out again to fix on the spot. The case is also a bit big for sure. I'd think that easily could have been smaller. More volume would be nice.

Great earbuds! Fantastic sound and noise cancellation works well. Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Classical, Spoken Word; these buds handle it all admirably. Absolutely no complaints about the hardware. HOWEVER: Bose needs to step up their game on the app side. I am the proud owner of 3 different products but unfortunately I also have 3 distinct apps for them. All three applications work well in their own right, but this seems like a major gap in what is usually a flawless Bose experience. What a prime opportunity to tie the entire ecosystem into one icon on your phone or tablet. It is rather flabbergasting since their hardware is deceptively simple to connect and use both wired and wireless.

Had them a few weeks. I like how they stretch to stay in place and are comfortable. Don not slid from ear like some other type. The open air allows for conversation when necessary but also limits sound level for the ear since they’re not in the ear canal. Battery life seems good , so far.
