Keep making music sound awesome Bose
These ear ghetto blasters are awesome received mine early from Bose vip only negative some songs the right ear piece crackles like a wired pair with a short in it other than that they are great especially at work there policy doesn’t permit anything plugged up in your ears. Anyways forever grateful thank you Bose for making the soundtrack to my life possible with superior sound
Just what I was looking for!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought the Sandstone color as a gift for me. I am absolutely in love with them. I have a child with a heightened sensory system and me listening to music is a trigger for her. Regular in ear earbuds are noise cancelling so I can't hear what's going on around me but the Ultra open earbuds allow me to hear what's going on around me and I can still have my music. For me, this is a game changer! I get the best of both worlds! These are 'Ultra' easy to use and the sound quality is incredible! Fast forward a few months, my other college age daughter used them while she was home on break and loved them for the same reason. She said these would be great to wear in the lounge areas because she can hear what's going on around her without getting too distracted. She also said that they would be great when she is walking on campus at night for that peace of mind of knowing what's going on around her. Needless to say, we bought her the Chilled Lilac for her birthday!
Simply Amazing Ultra Open Earbuds!!
I received these Bose Ultra Open Earbuds as a gift and I am impressed! The open ear concept is game changing and innovative! Sound quality is extremely important to me and these do not disappoint. The Immersive setting literally reminds me of surround sound system sitting in your ears. These earbuds are lightweight and did not cause me any pain especially after wearing them many hours each day. The unique design hold on to your ears without any problem. I have a very active lifestyle which includes running, mountain biking and cardio workouts and was skeptical about these holding up and not falling out unexpectedly. Once you put these in your ears and find the right spot, they don’t move! The only time one fell out is when I came home and my dog excitedly licked my face and ears and knocked one out. There is no On/Off button on these. Once you put them in, they are technically “On” all the time. If your phone isn’t being used, they go into a standby mode until something happens (phone call, text message, email notification or any other type of notification) and then like magic, they are on and ready to work. The Ultra Open Earbuds have an amazing battery life on their own and have lasted me a full day of use (talking on the phone, streaming music and movies) without needing a charge in the middle of the day. When I go to bed, I drop them in the charging case and repeat the process again the next day. I’ve gone for 5 days without the need to recharge the case. Again, these are an open ear design and allow you to be consciously aware of your surroundings. This is important especially if you are out in the public listening to music or talking to someone on the phone you can still hear what’s happening around you. I may have attended several company meetings while wearing these and still listening to my music and nobody around me could hear the music playing even when the volume was actually quite high…. During several phone calls I was sitting next to a colleague and he could not hear the caller I was talking to. I turned the volume all the way up and he leaned into me to see if he could hear the conversation and could only hear minor noise; not necessarily hearing and actual words. This is important to me since I spend 8-9 hours a day on the phone. I can still hear me colleagues talking to me while I’m on the phone. I am not new, nor am I an amature to Bose Products. I have their original Bose BT2 Bluetooth headset, a really old pair of QC-3s (about 14 years old that my daughter is still using), QC-35 headphones (8 years old), the Headphones 700 I bought myself for Christmas, the Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700 (with surround speakers and bass module), and several Bluetooth speakers. EVERYTHING still works as good as it did when it was brand new. With that being said, these do not disappoint and are truly amazing earbuds & hold up to the Bose name, quality and cosmetically aesthetic designs!
Comfortable but wish they did more.
I have had these for a few months now and they have some pros and cons. Pros: comfortable and good sound quality. You can connect to multiple devices and switch between them. Cons: they don’t announce texts or other app notifications. You cannot voice respond to text back or answer a call. I typically only wear one at a time so the volume up and down feature doesn’t really work for me since you need both to operate that function. Would love if these would charge with Qi charger.
Good features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My experience with this product is not good I dont know why but I cannot hear people very well at all and they cannot hear me when I am talking to them I love the thought of open ear design but they are just off a little bit it might be the way they fit to my ear
Great Comfort and Fantastic Sound
Sneak peak bose Unpacking I received and unboxed my earbuds yesterday. So excited. I love the black and found it was so easy to set up. I went to my settings on my phone and it already showed connected. Don’t know whether I inadvertently did something or it was just that easy! I had trouble putting them in my ears. For me it was awkward probably because I am use to other earbuds and they are different. I love how the speaker is attached and how it hangs below the ear. Pros I am loving the sound quality it is superb. I like how the ear buds are light weight on my ears. Cons: They are difficult to put on when I am wearing earrings and they feel awkward however it may be my need to get use to them. They are not noise cancellation however that is not a deal breaker. I have managed to place them on my ear when I am wearing earrings (especially large ones). I do find the sound way better when I can place the ear buds where my earrings sit. Still enjoy the comfort. Pros they don’t slip out nor do they need constant adjustments,
Great sound!
Bought the Diamond Ultra Open earbuds a couple of weeks ago and was impressed by how it sounded and that you can adjust the sound to your liking with the equalizer. The only negative thing i can say is that the color of the earbuds doesn't really match how it appears in the pictures.
Worthy New Earbud Contender!
As an urban dweller in the PNW who cycles, long walks, and loves to listen to music - I was delighted to use these open earbuds through a typical day of remote work and outdoor adventure. (Toggling through different devices and sound settings is customizable using the app.) However, right after receiving my buds, I ended up flying to San Francisco for a client meetup. I generally prefer using my Bose QuietComfort Headphones in noisy environments (particularly on an airplane), but opted instead to try out my new listening device - which fit lightly in my coat pocket, and could be easily used for more than one function on my trip. Initial Impressions: First things first, I’m impressed by the small eco-friendly packaging and ease of information found during unboxing. There is a QR code on the left tab which directs you to a setup guide. The right tab has shorthand instructions easy to grasp. Getting started was straightforward and took maybe 1-2 minutes? If you use the setup guide, you’ll see there are some fit instructions, which were helpful for me since I had never used an open earbud like this one. My initial assessment of the fit was that it felt unusual, but after having them on for a few minutes I quickly forgot about them. The wrap around nature makes them feel secure without any pinching sensation. While I could at first feel a small amount of the product near my ear canal, I would say it was no more present than using a standard earbud. I found the introduction to the different audio settings in the setup guide on the app to be quite informative and was eased into the customization options which are well worth your time. The preprogrammed user settings were frankly very intuitive, as was the general use of these earbuds. Personally, I only added a couple of button prompts to keep things simple, while leaving the other preprogrammed ones as they were on arrival. The case is a nice size and weight with the magnetic pull inside being comfortably strong, allowing the earbuds to saddle instantly, making charging a breeze. Performance: The sound quality is completely as expected from a Bose product. The ‘Immersion’ setting was absolutely my favorite. It’s like “stereo” but better; living up to its name, if you close your eyes you can practically feel the artist’s sweat during a long rift. I found if I turned the sound up to max volume, I could still hear things happening around me but not very well. By nature, these are not intended to block surrounding noise. Listening at a normal volume, I could easily hear gate instructions at the airport and any announcements while on the plane. (A double-edged sword. Why do we have to sit through long advertisements by flight attendants for credit cards now?) In the future I will likely stick to the Quiet Comfort for the plane ride, but will keep these in my pocket for the rest of my journey. The ‘Immersion’ setting has an interesting feature - when you move your head, the music stays front facing but then moves to the direction of your head if you keep it faced that same way for a few seconds. This added to the feeling that I was at a concert, which was kinda fun. Critical Considerations: Removing one or both earbuds does not stop the audio. I’m not sure I care about this exactly, but it is worth a mention. Unlike Apple earbuds, moving from one device to another is not seamless. (Though you can toggle with an earbud button which makes this pretty effortless.) I found the ‘Stereo’ mode allowed for the music to be played with a louder sound quality than when in ‘Immersion’ mode. The ‘Bass Boost’ was noticeably better in ‘Stereo’ mode verses ‘Immersion’ mode as well. Lastly, there's an amazing lot of features in the Bose Music app. I would love for Bose to add a Widget so I can add it to my shortcut menu on my iPhone to get me to the app and its features more quickly. Final Thoughts: These are an amazing product, especially for people who due to safety concerns need to hear more of what is happening around them. You do not lose any sound quality or depth of experience during regular activity while gaining peace of mind. Additionally, I feel the fit quality will meet the needs of a wide range of ear shapes and sizes. I heartily recommend these earbuds!
Over Acheiver

Great Bose product just a few kinks to work out .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of Bose ultra open earbuds. The first pair they just died on me the second pair y’all sent me to replace .Which I was very, glad about that . But as in the first pair and the second pair, it is hard for me to make phone calls where people could hear me . ( I’m loud too) for some reason and they don’t stay charged long . I do love how they stay on my ears compared to Apple‘s product but there’s just a few kinks that I would like y’all to handle on the next wave. I believe in you, Bose and thank you for your product.
