[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mattress and was trying to decided whether to go with the "soft" or "med firm". In the store where I was shopping, the only one with the pillow top was the "soft" and I neglected to ask if the med firm came with a pillow top. After sleeping on my new mattress for a couple of weeks, I think the med firm with a pillow top would have been the perfect mattress for me, but I am sleeping pretty well on this one, even though when turning over, I awaken a bit as I am sunk in a bit more and it makes turning an effort which occasionally awakens me. Not a fault of the mattress, it's just my experience.

My son owned a Cassette Luxery Ultra Plush which was no longer offered so when I called Stearns & Foster they advised me to buy the Lux Estate Pillowtop Soft. The customer service representive told me to try and find a store that carried that mattress before finalizing my order and to try it out. I found the mattress and brought my son along to see if it was comparable to his mattress and we both agreed that it was. I paid for my order and was so excited to receive it. I placed the order in mid June and it was delivered on July 3'd. The first thing that I noticed was that the mattress had a Sealy tag attached to it and I even questioned the guys who delivered it but they were unable to answer my questions. I knew that I ordered it from Stearns & Foster and they take pride on making your mattress so they say. The next thing I did was to lay on the mattress and I knew immediately that it wasn't the same that I laid on in the store. I called customer service several times and they advised me to walk on the mattress to make it softer. The next time they told me that my mattress was firm because of the temperture in my house. In the end they told me to try a featherbed to break it in and when that didn't work I bought a three inch gel mattress topper. After poor customer service I'm stuck with a mattress that cost a lot and is poor quality. My message to anyone who is considering on buying this mattress is just don't waste your money! I had a problem and customer service hung up on me several times before getting someone to help me. Because of them and their advice I have a firm mattress that I'm highly dissatisified with. I saved up to buy a mattress like my son had because I have pemanent muscle spasms but I feel like I'm laying on a brick pile. I'm using the gel topper so I can at least tolerate it. It's by far the most expensive mistake that I have ever made!!

I really like my new mattress. I tried it out for a couple of 15 minute trials in the store prior to purchase and it felt amazing. I actually believe the medium with a pillow top would have been my preference, but was not available to try. I sleep pretty well on this mattress but find I sink in a little more than I expected after laying in one position for a while, so that when I move from my back to side, I lightly wake, but return to sleep as the new position provides me comfort. The quality of the mattress will hopefully keep the support I need for years to come.

We bought the mattress for 8 month and its already saggy and we cannot sleep well on it everynight. We have tried to reach out to the customer service but the only thing they replied is the mattress was not saggy enough so they cant exchange it for us because of the policy. But its only been 8 month... This is so disappointing.

I suffer with low back pain, but even after 1 sleep on this matress, I could move better & think clearer because I slept so good! When I read about this mattress having a cooling technology, I really didn't believe it, until I slept on it. I did not get overheated during the night, which was amazing because we leave out thermostat a little warmed than the downstatirs, so it was a win for me! The mattress is firm and supportive for your body, but the pillowtop adds a comfy layer so when you climb into bed you are surrounded with comfort. I will say this mattress is very thick and heavy. It's a bit hard to change the sheets because it's so heavy to lift and tuck the sheet under. We are using it on a platform bed so there is no need for a box spring. have owned a few S&F but this one hasn't lasted very long as far as sagging in the middle. I have to get a new mattress quickly as my back is hurting. If I sleep at a nice Hotel, I feel great and have no back pain. Sorry S&F, I paid allot or this mattress and expected it to last longer. the tag states Dina Pammill was the Master Craftsman made in Indiana and also has Eileen Leigh name on it along with the number 5691. This is exactly what I needed for my back and shoulder pain, it's very firm and keeps your posture well positioned. You feel recharged, relaxed and ready to work next day. A good sleep is very important for everyone and this mattress is definitely worth all the money spent on it. You can never go wrong with this mattress. Thanks for extremely well built and designed mattress. Totally recommend it and love it!

First time sleeping on the new mattress. I thought it would be more firm than it is. The same mattress in the store seemed to be a bit more firm. I experienced a very restful sleep and woke up without the usual aches and pains that I had from my ten year old Sealy mattress. I like that it is a much thicker mattress than my previous mattress so I'm hoping it holds up much better and the side doesn't crush down from sitting on the side of the bed as my old mattress did. Only time will tell. The only thing that I don't like at this point is the cost of the mattress. The price was a deterrent until S&F offered a nice discount. I 'm hoping that the old saying, "you get what you pay for", holds true for my new mattress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the comfiest mattress I have ever slept on. The pillowtop is as soft as a cloud and cushions and cradles you when you lay on it. I sank right in, but the rest of the mattress is thick and firm enough that I still get the suport I need for my back. I knew I was going to like this mattress, I didn't know it was going to change my sleep as much as it did; snuggles the insomnia away.
