Caution

I bought this in August 2023. I have used it about 20 times for making bread. Never over the recommended speed. Today it started grinding then quit. I finished by hand. This is the second of this model to do this but I did get several years of service before the previous one failed. Not a happy camper Sams!

Worst design ever, no clearance for the bowl.

I have loved my Kitchen Aid Mixer for over 40 years, have bought the children one over the years, decided to upgrade to a new one, purchase this one at Sam's Club. This is the absolute worse designed model I have ever used. the Lift is not high enough to clear the bowl, you have to attach the blades while in the bowl and remove while still sitting in the mixture. Makes it impossible to use properly without making a mess. Preparing for Thanksgiving, mixing cake filling, apparently left the beaters on too long, it heated up the beaters so hot it burnt my fingers and left metal shaving in the batter. the beaters are slow to ramp up to begin to mix, the bowl is difficult to mount on the pins and there is no quick removal of the bowl once mounted. Wish I have my tilt head Kitchen Aid Mixer , much better product.

Not what the used to be

I bought this mixer to replace the iced that died I got from my Grandma that was about 50 years old. Mixer broke the first time I used it. I was making bread and only used in the specified gears per Kitchenaid. It died within 1 minute of starting. Will be returning.

KitchenAid mixer

I was so happy to receive the KitchenAid mixer for my birthday, but upon unboxing the mixer, I noticed that the lifting arm was not working. My son and husband looked at the mixer and noticed that the arm was not connected to the inside lifting mechanism. This connection is put together by a cheap e-clip. Since we were needing to use this mixer immediately we decided not to return the mixer. My husband and son tore into it and was able to finally get it fixed.

Warning: Different product through Sam's

Gave one star for even carrying this product, but have caution: the appliances Sam's/C*stco sells are specially made just for warehouse sales, they're not same quality as what you buy directly through the manufacturer. This mixer is available for the same price through Kitchenaid but will be an original and authentic product, NOT a lesser-quality version like what's available through Sam's. I learned this from buying a Shark robot vacuum. I won't be buying appliances through Sam's ever again, only manufacturer websites.

I would not know. We did not pick up at Broadway store , repurchased at mentor store . You said I picked up at Broadway store , I never took it out of the box yet . I was told you would refund , you stlll have not . I callled multiple times with no help . Your customer service is horrrible !!!

Very disappointed

This is an absolute failure - the mixing blades do not reach the bottom, and you have to stop it many times to make sure butter does not stay on the bottom. Defeats the purpose altogether. The way it goes down, you can not stick in spatula, have to remove the bowl... I wish I could return it. I had a basic model with a tilted head and a smaller bowl for almost 15 years and that was many times better than this one. The mixer does not feel sturdy and solid either. Would not recommend to anyone! Not sure how anyone can be happy with it...

Check the box before you leave the store.

Purchase did not have the dough hook or the spatula called Sam's club they told me to box it back up and bring it back. I had already got ride off the box. The last told me just put it in any box. She kept taking with others around her. Was very disrespectful.

I've always liked my mom's tilt head KitchenAid mixer, but I wanted one with the ability to mix dough and a little more heavy duty than my current Sunmaid mixer. Cue this 2025 Christmas season sale: wonderful price for a quality item. The Blue Velvet mixer I purchased worked for a grand total of maybe generously 3 seconds before stopping. I tried a different plug, I tried leaving it to rest for a day, nothing could induce it to work again. Figured I just got a dud; it happens, but I could exchange it. When I went back, I was the 3rd person to return it for the same reason that day, and it wasn't even noon yet! The one right before me was also a Blue Velvet color; it was still out waiting to be sent back, I presume. I still needed a mixer, so I looked for the same color. The units they still had were all the light sea foam color, plus one silver. I tried to order another Blue Velvet for pickup upon recommendation of the associate (when I showed her they claimed they were still in stock), and after waiting around for 4 hours in town (I live 40 minutes away), they texted me that they canceled my order because they actually didn't have that color. So now I have to order online or just decide not to buy the mixer. I'm leaning towards the latter. The mixer is a hassle and heavy to lug home and not work. Plus I had to wash the equipment I used. Not worth it, especially before Christmas. Buy straight from the manufacturer or something. I've read the Sams model is different; if that's the case, it's defective.
