Just awful

Absolutely heartbroken and disappointed. This was an early Christmas present and not even a minute into mixing cookie dough it just stopped and wouldn't start up again. We did all the troubleshooting and nothing. Cleaned it up and exchanged it for a different one. Brought that one home and again not even a minute into mixing cookie dough and it stopped. It's not my outlet as everything else works fine on it. Extremely disappointed and will be returning this one and not trying another one.

Beautiful New KitchenAid

This KitchenAid replace my old one that is 42 years old and still works.I really wanted a new one and this model is just wonderful!! I love the color (Mineral Water). All the extra bowls and attachments are a dream!! I am SO happy with my new KitchenAid aka Bertha!!!

Used this mixer i waited all year for exactly once! It stopped working before cookie dough was finished. A mere small batch and mixer just quit! IT was immediately taken back to Sam's where it was purchased. There was another on the cou n ter just brought back. Yet another waiting to return one. I did get another but dont have much hope. Supposedly the gears etc are a mess due to products used. What's up kitchen aide? This is sad.

I've always liked my mom's tilt head KitchenAid mixer, but I wanted one with the ability to mix dough and a little more heavy duty than my current Sunmaid mixer. Cue this 2025 Christmas season sale: wonderful price for a quality item. The Blue Velvet mixer I purchased worked for a grand total of maybe generously 3 seconds before stopping. I tried a different plug, I tried leaving it to rest for a day, nothing could induce it to work again. Figured I just got a dud; it happens, but I could exchange it. When I went back, I was the 3rd person to return it for the same reason that day, and it wasn't even noon yet! The one right before me was also a Blue Velvet color; it was still out waiting to be sent back, I presume. I still needed a mixer, so I looked for the same color. The units they still had were all the light sea foam color, plus one silver. I tried to order another Blue Velvet for pickup upon recommendation of the associate (when I showed her they claimed they were still in stock), and after waiting around for 4 hours in town (I live 40 minutes away), they texted me that they canceled my order because they actually didn't have that color. So now I have to order online or just decide not to buy the mixer. I'm leaning towards the latter. The mixer is a hassle and heavy to lug home and not work. Plus I had to wash the equipment I used. Not worth it, especially before Christmas. Buy straight from the manufacturer or something. I've read the Sams model is different; if that's the case, it's defective.

Don't buy. You'll regret it.

I hate this thing. After 30 years of using my KitchenAid 5 speed hand mixer (and never really needing a stand mixer) I treated myself to this piece of plunder in summer 2024. Try to cream butter! Just try! All the butter lands on the sides of the bowl out of the reach of the paddle! It does absolutely nothing. Constantly having to stop and scrape the sides. Adding ingredients is a pain in the rear. I wish I never bought his thing. I got a new hand mixer for Christmas and this thing will be a very expensive space-taker-upper.

Failed after first use making cookies

Kitchen aid mixer is garbage. Purchased for my wifes Christmas present and let her use it early because I was nervous about the other reviews talking about it dying on first use. Guess what, it died making cookies on the first use. "WAS NOT OUR OUTLET". My outlet is GFCI protected and did not trip. Tested other products on outlet after Kitchen aid mixer died, other devices worked fine. This is horrible quality and should not be tolerated from this company. Stop giving them money.

Stopped working on first use

Really disappointed in this mixer. I set it up for the first time to make cookie dough. Two minutes into using it on the lowest speed it turned off and won't turn back on. After looking it up I found more people that have had this same issue. Wish I'd seen that before buying it.

I was really excited to us this mixer and felt extremely disappointed when, right out of the box it did not work. Pluged it in flipped the switch and nothing happened. Figured it might be a bad outlet moved mixer used a different outlet and again nothing happened. I didnt want to get discouraged and wanted to give kitchenaid the benefit of the doubt. I returned to sams club and exchanged the mix for another one. The joy could be felt in the room when this second mixer roared to life yet the joy was quickly filled with a sense of dread as the mixer started to overheat I know some of you may be thinking that this could be operator error but when using the dough hook at level one setting for less than 4 minutes. There's no reason for This mixer to overheat. I looked up how to reset the mixer after I followed the reset directions, the mixer roared back to life and i was able to return to baking. unfortunately the second time I attempted to use the mixer The mixer would not work. It would roar to life. But it would not spin the dough hook now I must return two sam's club for a second time.

Worst design ever

I sold my tilt 4.5 quart so I could buy this one because I need a little bigger bowl and I thought its the new design has to be better right ? nope worst purchase I have ever made, I hate using this thing, the handle to raise the bowl is very cheaply designed and not smooth at all, you have to take the mixing spatula out to remove the bowl. almost impossible to add ingredients without making a mess, I could go on and on.... This design makes using it so much more difficult and I really really hate using it, now I am stuck with a piece of junk when I had a perfectly good and awesome tilt head mixer that I got rid of because I believed all the hype about this piece of crap, seriously see no advantages to this at all, none, buyer beware. I have had this for 3 months and find myself using my hand mixer because I hate this thing so much....

Unreliable..

I'm about to first one excited to have my own KitchenAid but during the first time using it, it stopped working after a minute of it and use and didn't turn on again. we even troubleshooted it like it says in the manual and it didn't turn on. I then exchanged it for another one and it survived the first use. when we tried using it the second time, I turned the handle to lift the bowl up and it collapsed. I went back to get my refund to get the Tilt head one since this has shown it's not reliable. would not recommend to others.
