I was a believer, but now I’m an absolute hater. I bought a flex style two years ago, within 9 months, it stopped working entirely. They replaced it through the warranty, and now one year later, the replacement no longer works. It shuts off 3-5 times while blow drying my hair on low heat and low power. I clean it at least once a week and nothing helps. I have 20” extensions, so you can imagine how infuriating it is to keep having to turn it off, wait 5 minutes, and turn it back on 5 times just to get my hair 90% dry after an hour and a half. Don’t waste your money, just buy a Dyson.

The brush attachment works great, but I actually bought it for the curling attachments and they suuuuuck. It takes forever, they come out all frizzy because it’s blows the hair out. I figured it was like the Dyson that sucked and held onto the hair. It’s pretty bad.

My boyfriend got me the kit for my 21st birthday last year, and I was so excited to use Shark Beauty to create easy everyday looks! Unfortunately, none of the tools seem to work for me. The smoothing attachment actually gives me more frizz, which is such a disappointment. It might just be my hair type, but my strands constantly get caught between the attachment and the base :( I really wanted to love this product, but it just didn’t work out. I might have to start saving up for a Dyson instead—I’m still chasing that perfect blowout look!

Unfortunately the button that is used to release the attachments broke off while I was using the round brush. The brush fell off and the plastic bristles scratched my eye and face up. Now I have all of these extra attachments that I have purchased that are no use.

The Shark FlexStyle dries my hair quickly without a ton of heat. It's light, easy to use, and doesn't leave my hair frizzy. The attachments are simple to switch, and the diffuser works great for waves. Solid everyday dryer that feels gentle but effective.

Love this hair dryer. Doesn't damage my hair even on high heat. if you use it right it will give amazing volume at the roots and smooth your hair. Please wear hearing protection- I use the small foamy kind that fit in your ear canal. I've had this dyson for over two years and still working like brand new.

Overall, I still think it's worth trying because it works quickly, gives smooth results, and protects my hair from heat damage, but I do hope Shark improves the locking system on the attachments.
