i bought this about a month ago and have been obsessed. i have tried the dyson from friends and loved it, but obviously the price point is a big deal. this was a cheaper option and shark is a good brand so i thought i’d give it a try, and it is well worth the price and i would say a pretty much exact dupe for the dyson. the only bad thing is that it doesn’t come with a case :/ which i wish it did

I received the Shark FlexStyle as a gift in 2024 for Christmas. I was so excited to use the product for blowouts and bouncy curls. I like the round brush however, the fan is way too loud and will leave your ears ringing after use. I have long thick hair and unfortunately the styling never holds. Over the last year I have tried 10+ different products to put in my hair before and after and have not seen good results. If you have thinner hair, I think this product would work for you!

The curling function is 10/10 My curls lasted for SOO long! The sheen and shine that it adds with all functions is chefs kiss! I will say I have long hair and giving myself a blowout is difficult with the way the wand is shaped and the ridges always catch my hair and makes it difficult to do a proper blowout. I have less volume at the roots and top half and i have trouble doing a straight run through without snags. I think R&D is needed to fix that, I have no issues with other brands I have used in terms of handling. It does take some time to learn and use the tool its handle is quite long. Not a huge fan of the loss of hair but i fear thats inevitable! I do have coarse thick hair which means this tool works great in terms of quickness but my hair is wavy and easily stylable so if you have stubborn straight hair your results may not look the same. But I think it may just take an extra few runs through your hair or extra holding for curls!

So, I actually got the Shark air styling tool as a wedding present when I got married almost a year and a half ago, and I absolutely love this thing. I think it honestly performs just as well…..if not better than the Dyson, especially if you don’t want to splurge on the Dyson price tag. One small downside is that you do have to swap out the different rods because it doesn’t curl in both directions automatically, but honestly, for the price you’re paying, it’s amazing. As a first time new mom, I love that I can have my baby in a carrier and still do my hair without any fuss. It’s super functional and convenient. My curls last for hours…..like six to seven hours easily….so it’s perfect for those wavy hairstyles when you don’t want to put in too much effort. I absolutely love all the attachments it comes with, from the round brush to the different barrel sizes, and it’s just so versatile. Plus it doesn’t damage my hair as much as other heat tools do. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10 from me. I’d definitely recommend it as a gift or just a treat for yourself. It really makes my hair look like I just walked out of a salon and it even outperforms my regular blow dryer. Can’t rave enough about it!

I purchased this Shark in hopes of cutting down my straightening time and this isn’t!!! I normally take over an hour to dry my hair. I was able to fully dry my hair in 30 mins. With the paddle brush. I also used the another tool to add little curls and it was so much faster. I hope they live up to the expectations of not burning my hair. That’s very important to me but so far I’m impressed!!

I just got my Flexstyler a few days ago. I haven’t gotten to use all the attachments yet but the curling wands and the dryer are amazing. I have fine, thin hair and it was trial and error at first. The key is make sure your hair is damp and you have styling products on your hair. Also, clip hair not being curled out of the way and clip finished curls out of the way or areas you’re still styling. I love this product and just saw Shark has a new attachment so, I’ll be adding that as well. This has given me the volume created by a typical blow out but without the beautician!!!

I bought this and I absolutely love it!! I love how quickly it dries my long thick hair. The brush attachments were different to use at first because I’ve never used them before. Once I got the hang of it it’s so easy to use. The curling attachments are so simple and easy to use. Just make sure your hair is a little damp for the best outcome. Highly recommend this product to everyone I know!!

I used to have to dry my hair and then curl it with a curling iron or straighten with a straightener. I have lots of hair and it is long. Before I would spend anywhere from 2 to 3 hours on my hair. This has cut that to right around an hour and I am ready to walk out the door.

I bought this because I need to look more polished/put together for work (no more scrubs and messy buns) AND in hopes that it was a good alternative to the dyson. It exceeded expectations. I have fine, straight hair but a lot of it. My hair was dried AND curled in 15 - 20 minutes. I recommend starting with hair more damp and with texture spray if your hair is hard to curl or doesn’t like to hold a curl. **barrels do get warm to the touch. Doesn’t burn but still be careful when switching between barrels - especially if you have sensitive hands.
