Within the month of owning this unit we have done multiple loads of laundry with no faults at all! The machine is whisper quiet, respectfully, and it very user friendly!! Pair this with the washer and it takes the guess work out of setting the dryer time and setting! Along with ease of use, the LG app and the ThinQ technology allows us to be away from the unit and home and monitor the status of each load! I highly recommend this unit and it’s sister dryer unit!

Overall I'm happy with this dryer. It does its job. My only wish is that it were easier to use the manual settings (for example, choosing heat level). Twisting the knob rotates you through a large assortment of presets, but if you want to tell the thing what to do it's trickier. You can adjust some of the settings on some of the presets, but not all of them, and the simple act of rotating the knob has become a bit irritating because there's a significant time lag between turning the knob and the computer switching over to the next preset, so what should take less than a second takes more than a few. Again, I'm happy with it overall and don't feel a need to replace it, but this seems like it might be a pretty simple thing to improve and I wish they already had.

Quiet; dries items well--which is VERY cycle dependent. NOT ALL cycles can be individualized...for example, if one wishes to dry permanent press items on LOW heat INSTEAD of the programmed MEDIUM heat, one CANNOT do so on the permanent press cycle; one must use timed dry to select low heat OR use delicate. If once chooses delicate then the time is not quite right so one really must go to Timed Dry. I stated with the WASHER review that there was NO "Complete owner's manual" included with the data provided in the sealed plastic envelope inside the dryer drum. The Owner's Manual Dryer was there BUT the owner is directed to the website to obtain the 'complete' manual. I believe this is a poor decision on LG's part. LG is presuming that everyone who buys this product has CONSISTENT and RELIABLE internet service ALL the time; and that the purchaser wishes to download the LG app or go to the LG website for data. Troubleshooting data clear in the skimpy manual that is provided.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I have had the dryer for about a month I have been unable to use it until late this week. The first issue was an installation issue regarding the plug. The second electrical issue related to the fact that the dryer kept tripping the circuit breaker. We resolved this by having an electrician replace the circuit breakers. This dryer is extremely efficient but requires more amperage. It was an extremely frustrating experience but was not the fault of the dryer. I love the features and the fact that clothes dry quickly. I would advise purchasers to check with an electrician if they experience similar problems.

I wish it had the dryer rack i it’s supposed to come with also wish it had instructions on how to use the machine I would’ve never bought it my wife did Also there’s no place to put in why are you pick the machine you have to pick what they want you to pick that’s not a way to review a machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer in November and I am so happy that I did. I like the efficiency of it. It automatically selects the time to dry a big load. Although sometimes I select the 'timed' dry to High/40 mins and when it's done it is really dry NOT moist or damp. It is energy efficient. I don't have any big gas/electric bill even when I do my laundry 3 medium loads a week and few big loads on weekends. It also notifies me on my phone when it's done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer was installed two weeks ago. Installation was straightforward. So far, I’ve only done two loads and everything worked as expected. I found the manual often difficult to interpret, and especially so for setting up the ThinQ wifi. For example, it if not clear whether the word device is referring to the dryer or the smartphone. Also, a lot of trial and error is involved in learning to use the controls. I hope this will improve over time. Note. I am a native english speaker with a PhD in physics. So far, I don’t have enough experience wit this machine to recommend it to someone else. Ask me again after six months or a year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is taking some time getting used to this dryer because of the wetness sensor turning off the dryer before the clothes are dry. It appears you really need to isolate the denser fabric clothing from the less dense or the machine will shut off pre-maturely. This is quite frustrating. However when the clothes are dry, they really come out with a lot less wrinkles. SO after we get used to how it operates it most likely will be the best dryer we have ever owned.
