What first caught my attention with this product was the great look. Once I opened the package, I really liked the vacuum seal that the lids provide. My husband said that it kept his sandwich bread especially fresh, even in the refrigerator (rather than getting moist or dried out). The containers seem scratch resistant and I have has no problems washing them in the dishwasher. They come out clean/clear like glass, with no residues sinking into the plastic. Most importantly the containers can be dropped (accidentally or thrown by a toddler) and have no chips or cracks. We purchased several sets of these and have used them regularly for about a year. Recently we have had 2 of the pieces crack all the way through. The first one we figured was a fluke, the second one, there are internal stress issues or something that happens over time. For the cost and cost to the environment I expect several years worth of use before failures like this.

It reminds me of many high end glass storage containers, but i prefer taking this with me to work because it is not so heavy in my bag as a glass container. It is completely leakproof, so I trust it to be thrown in my bag when I'm in a rush. Easy to clean and use. Would recommend,

There is a size for literally everything and I really love the pasta container. I was so sick of having my spaghetti noddles always spill on the floor from an open plastic container. Love this set.

I only had one issue. Sometimes it doesn't lock right and will leak. Maybe I just got a bad one. Overall I do still like it quite a bit! I would also recommend it to others.

It's secure as the rubber band around the lid makes it closes tightly also the latches add more security. It's very suitable to use in the microwave as the vents let the steam releases without making splashing or mess. I only noticed that if the food inside is too hot and lid is on the latches pop open , so i let it the steam escape before closing it for safety. It doesn't stain and easy to stack.

The seals and latches are built well and even if I shake them upside down, nothing comes out. I love this set because the sizes are actually usable and make sense! I feel like a lot of other brands give you silly sizes that you couldn’t put anything in. Another bonus that I accidentally picked up on - these are very durable. I asked my 4 year old to grab one of these from the pantry (oats) and of course, she dropped it. Not even a scuff on the container! We received an OXO set as a wedding present but over half of the containers cracked in under 5 years. These Rubbermaid containers are solid and I know I will have them for years!

These are fantastic! They're clear design allows you to easily see what's inside, and the plastic is durable and completely BPA free. They have the most amazing seals I've ever seen on a storage container. They hold fast, even when the latches are up! I tested them many times, putting liquids inside & tipping them upside down. I even undid the latches and held the containers by the latches, and the lids never popped off. These are unbelievable, and totally 100% leak proof!!! I was hesitant to put them in theicrowave or dishwasher, as this often leads to the demise of storage containers. However, I did give it a go, and they held up perfectly on both ocasions. The latches on the lids double as vents, so they don't pop in the microwave and make a huge mess. Even more impressive, the plastic doesn't discolor when heated with foods inside! In the dishwasher, the seals stayed intact and didn't warp at all. This was the biggest concern for me, and these performed flawlessly. Aside from their durable construction, and versatility, these containers also work wonderfully in the freezer or pantry. They stack on top of each other, and help to maximize space. I have a small kitchen, and saving space is a must! I use them to store leftovers in the freezer, and dry goods in the pantry. They look nice, and effectively use the little bit of space that I have. I received a free sample of the Rubbermaid Brilliance storage containers, to test and review. These storage containers exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them.

I was so excited to purchase a couple of sets of these: Rubbermaid Brilliance Food Storage Container Set, 14-piece, Clear : (#7U27) They were lovely AND could be used in microwave (bonus for leftovers for lunch), super stackable, easy to use, etc etc. Even my kids and husband commented on them. However, after less than 8 months of use 3 of the pieces cracked in multiple places. They have been used in the microwave, but never put in the freezer and only in a dishwasher 2-3 times. I so disappointed! I never pay big money for storage containers...just wait to find them at rummage sales...and the one time I do. Blech.
