smell is bad like stale urine

I have over the years noticed Tides original scent has changed and smells like stale urine. I have switched brands for this reason.

We're sorry to hear that you feel this way, John, and we'll be sure to pass your comments along to the rest of our team. We can assure you that a lot of thought goes into creating features that we think you'll love. However, we do understand that preferences can vary from person to person. Our Tide Original currently has a warm, rich scent with some woody notes, and was last updated in April 2019. We'd be happy to learn more about your experience and answer any questions you may have, so please give us a call at (800) 879-8433 when you're able.

I love this laundry detergent and will never switch. It works and the smell is so good. It is just a comforting smell to me

New Scent is Awful

After using Tide Original for 25 plus years, I am going to have to switch to a new detergent as the new scent is awful.

We appreciate your loyalty to Tide, and we would never want to leave you disappointed. While we're sorry to hear that you're not a fan of our freshness update, rest assured we're letting our team know you'd like to see a switch back. In the meanwhile, have you tried our Mountain Spring scent? It has many similar notes to our old Original, so we think you'd really enjoy it. If you have any questions, always feel free to give us a call at (800) 879-8433.

Tide laundry detergent original scent is the absolute best. Worth paying a little extra to smell great every day. Highly recommend!

This is what my mom@always used so I have also used it for years. I like that it is not a strong scent and gets my clothes clean.

I’ve been using tide as long as I can remember. It keeps clothes in good shape, stays affordable, and smells nice but not too strong

New Formula Stinks!!- Undo or lose customers

New formula = Bad smell! Before the formula changed I would have given Tide 5 stars but now I would give it 0 if it were an option. Awful smell!

Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only detergent I will use. Without perfume smell. Just crisp fresh & clean scent.
