[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the entire Tide line, but the original is my favorite scent. It cleans our clothing very well, including my husband's chef uniforms. The scent is so nice and lingers on the clothes. My favorite, by far.

Ok, this will be a little lengthy but stay with me and hear me out. I've been using Tide laundry products for over 40 years and I was around when liquids came on the market and I used them so I know what the fragrance was like back then. When I first started using the liquid Tide in the early 90s it had a unique but simple fragrance which smelled just like a strong soap. Then as the years progressed, people complained that they didn't like their clothes smelling like "laundry soap" so the era of "fruity, floral, disgraceful scents" was born and every detergent manufacturer followed that trend and folks were happy but I was not so I went back to powder AND another brand. Then folks got tired of of heady, headache inducing aroma of "flowers and sweet tarts" recently and wanted something else; hence it seems that Tide has reverted back to the old scent of Tide liquid with just a few minor adjustments to the fragrance. I decided to try it and I was very surprised to find that it had that old familiar soap smell with just a hint of "perfume" but not the sickeningly sweet fragrance from just a short time ago. When the proper amount is used per load of laundry, clothes come out of the dryer with just enough fragrance to notice but not enough to overwhelm you. In conclusion; each generation that gets introduced to Tide's line of laundry products will always have some gripe or compliment. Those of us who were around when the original scent of the powder and later the liquid are really the ones who notice how much or little the scent has changed over the years. P.S. The only reason I gave 4-stars for value is due to the price still being one of highest among laundry detergents but still pretty good since I'm still getting Tide's signature clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using Tide for years and it's simply the best there is. It's the only brand that TRULY gets your clothes clean and your whites whiter. Working in a greenhouse I can get pretty filthy and Tide does an excellent job of keeping my clothes looking new. My husband works around jet fuel all day and comes home smelling like an airplane tarmac. I throw his uniforms into the wash with a cap of Tide and they come out smelling nice and fresh! You can't beat it!

With tide I can see, touch and smell the cleanliness. I didn’t need to do any pre treatments either to get all the stains out. It does wonders especially in cold water. I also didn’t have any issues when some whites got mixed into my darks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed with Tide Original Liquid Deterrent. Not only do my clothes smell great, but they are clean and seem to have less wrinkles. The pleasant scent is not overwhelming and lasts for days after washing. This is our new detergent!

I have been using Tide detergent for many years and I have continued to use Tide as I highly recommend this product. It works great on stains and does fade your clothes.
